It was definitely a nice place to go, the waiter did not speak the best English but he was definitely polite, did not explain all the specials as we heard another waiter explain everything to another table and I would love to have heard it like that and explaining the best dishes describing everything to the best of his ability. We sat down approximately 5:45 p.m., ordered approximately 6:10 p.m. didn't receive our mail till approximately 7:15 p.m. during that time we had asked for extra bread and butter took approximately 10 minutes just for that alone, we did not order any appetizers or salads and there were only about five tables in the whole restaurant so I was really surprised on how long it took, don't get me wrong it's not like we were in a hurry but the service was way too slow as we did have an evening plan after dinner. The steaks are definitely some of the best I've ever had but the rest of the food was I want to consider average nothing over the top, when I made the reservations I told them I wanted a special area since we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and everything sounded great when I got there they put us an entirely different area and I had to ask to be put in The Wine Room they said there was nothing in their notes, we were also told that they would give us a nice dessert for a celebration and that was never offered neither, so it wasn't as special as I thought it would be, will I go back, yes, but I know to order differently now. On the menu it shows the lobster tail 16/32 and the way I read it is one laps for tail for $16 and two lobster tails for $32 when the bill comes they charged us $64 and we each had one lobster tail when I questioned them he said no that's for half of a tail, I've never gone to a restaurant my entire life where they take a small cold water tail and cut it in half, but when I brought it their attention the manager was very righteous and adjusted the bill accordingly understanding exactly how the man you read which the waiter said they need to rewrite that so obviously this is not the first time this has been brought to their attention. I must say it was a very nice restaurant not what I expected but I still had an enjoyable evening and the food was very good and the steaks really are some of the best. The only constructive criticism I can say, is that when you go to a high-end Steakhouse and even though you're in a booth the walls are painted very dark color and you can see how people have wiped their greasy hands on the wall and it did not look very appealing but all in all we did have a...
Read moreWe went here for a nice date night and were blown away by the service and the food. 11/10!! My husband and I are foodies, so we had to try a few things. Here's what we got and what we thought. We got the spicy bacon Caesar, which was more smokey than spicy and had amazing flavor! The lobster ceviche was very fresh with perfect texture, and the citrus and cilantro notes were refreshing. It paired extremely well with the salty umami of the nori crisps. The bone marrow with short rib was hands down the best thing we had all night, a religious experience really! Perfectly crafted savory bite. I got the pork chop with bacon and mustard, served with crispy sweet potato curls. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, and the flavors in both the pan sauce and the bacon mustard topping were very savory and complimentary. The sweet potato curls were a bit too sweet for my taste, so I didn't eat them all, however they were very good when they softened a bit in the savory pork drippings. My husband got the prime filet with caramelized shallots and truffle butter. The truffle butter was yummy and not overpowering, if you know what I mean in regards to truffle. The shallots had a really nice flavor; slightly sweet, almost as if they had been caramelized with something like a port wine. The mac and cheese was a good texture and had a nice amount of cheese sauce, but it was rather simple. This is fine if you're eating it in a bite with something on your plate already like steak or pork, but if you're eating it alone it could benefit from some fresh cracked pepper. That is our biased and personal opinion though. The apple tart was a very well crafted dessert, and worth returning for like the bone marrow! The cinnamon gellie¿ was arguably the best part of it all, which made a heavenly bite when eaten with their house made vanilla bean ice cream. The flourless chocolate torte was nice as well, very rich and served with some fresh berries. This was a more firm/dry of a chocolate torte. This would pair well with a dessert cocktail. I asked for a mocktail since I was not choosing alcohol this evening, and I was presented with a few options which was great. I chose their "fauxjito" which had muddled blueberries, mint and lime juice. Very tasty! My husband got the smoked old fashioned, which not only smelled and tasted great, but had a fun presentation as well. Overall amazing experience, and our server Jeremy was very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. We will definitely be returning...
Read moreFirst impressions count for a lot- sadly we were let down in a big way and down $400 for two people 😒 and upsets stomachs- after reading the many reviews online and on Google we decided to make the 1 hour drive to come here and celebrate the promotion with a good steak, upon walking the place looks gorgeous however that changed on the inside- the hostess were pleasant and nice- the vibe seemed very homey- it was set for two but sat in a table for 4. Our server lacked table manner soooo much- making little to no conversation with us. We did advice him it was our first time in- he spoke in a monotone. Not recommending us anything - the reviews said they would tell you what drinks to pair with your steaks and we did not get that- And just seemed like he had no energy whatsoever. The bread was warm and soft. The drinks were sad. I tried their martini and it was not flavorful whatsoever. I switched it for the poblano drink and the same, just bland. We also order an Ángels envy specialty drink and it was sweet, not what we expected at all. The oysters were flavorful and delicious. The charcuterie board was massive and full of flavor ! The gentleman who brought it out went through a run down of it and he was super nice. That was great! There was a huge time gap between the starters and dinner- about 35 min. The steaks were lacking flavor , though cooked properly it just needed more. The Mac and cheese was unseasoned and bland. The mushrooms were okay. And the specialty butter was cold and did not pair nicely with the steaks. Sadly we were not in the mood for dessert, for the amount of price we paid it was not a good experience at all- if you’re dropping $400 for a dinner I expect the best table service- great drinks- great food- sadly we did not get any of that the entire night on the other hand what we did get were upset stomachs almost within two hours after eating there- to the point I threw up the steak and Mack and cheese. Very very very very rate will I put all this info on a bad review but in all...
