My first time at this restaurant. I wanted to see for myself what their concept was, arrival time 130 pm . First impressions were positive, clean look bright colors, background music( too loud for me ) friendly staff so far so good. Menu at first glance was a bit of sticker shock however the serving was more than expected. I ordered the Sandwich item with fries and a drink with no " sauce ". That was a mistake ( I'm not big on having any "Sauce" on my food ) especially if I have no clue what's in the sauce. Well after the first bite I recognized why the sauce is necessary, no real flavor in the breaded chicken fingers but I stuck to my selection of no sauce, took me a long time to eat the meal, needed several Iced Tea's to get the 3 chick fingers on the " hamburger roll" along with the ample portion of French fries finished. The amount of food on the plate was so much that I skipped dinner. Conclusion: Order the "Basket" on the menu board, of course do try...
Read moreIt's nice to finally have a Raising Cane's here in St. Petersburg! I was nervous the line was going to be crazy like the opening in Clearwater & Largo, but St. Pete has been smooth sailing and not as packed since opening.
I'm gluten-free (not celiac) so I get my chicken done "Naked Bird" style so it's no breading. I sub the Texas Toast for an extra coleslaw. I get hot sauce on the side and its the perfect combo!
I do wish Raising Cane's as a brand seasoned their chicken more, but the last 2 times I've gone to this location, it's been cooked perfectly and was delicious! My only other complaint, but this is more a company thing vs. St. Pete, is the cost. I feel like it's so much for fast-food. For just my husband and I's meals (1 Caniac Combo, 1 Box Combo) it was $31! This will be an every once in a while thing for us, but this location is great, staff is also...
Read moreThe guy that took my order seemed to think he was super cute (attitude) and funny, giggling and saying things that I had a hard time understanding, but I probably will not go back. I ordered a 3 piece combo with UNsweet tea for my drink. He repeated my order back, but said SWEET tea. I told him the tea should be UNsweet. We went through this conversation 3 times. When I got to the window to get my order, I asked about the tea again and he assured me it was unsweet. Surprise, it was sweet! It is super disappointing to go through a drive through and get something other than what is ordered, but especially when it is due to a smart mouth kid that is too busy acting silly to pay...
