Sam's Gyros and Seafood (St Petersburg) — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Sam's seafood usually doesn't let you down with their normal service but this place operates a ghost kitchen on Uber eats called pasta bowl and seafood.

I ordered chicken alfredo and fried mushrooms around 12:20 in the morning because I do overnight work and they're open till 4:00 a.m. so it's not like it was right at closing time.

But by far this is some of the worst chicken Alfredo and honestly service from Sam's seafood that I've had like this barely beats chicken Alfredo pasta from Domino's Pizza. The chicken unlike the pictures with small little square cut pieces that felt like they were from the bottom of a frozen chicken bag, The noodles were way overcooked It was almost a mushy mess, The sauce had no flavor profile at all. It just tasted like cream. There is little to no flavor hints of Parmesan or garlic and they know there's no taste because what do they do? They throw a little pinch of Old Bay seafood seasoning or what I'm assuming it is on top of it.

Also honorable mention they mention you get a garlic bread on the side for your alfredo but guess what the garlic bread was was just a toasted piece of white bread, a single piece that had no butter, no garlic, nothing. It was plain toasted piece of white bread. Like at least put some butter and garlic on it and I can call it garlic bread instead of some Great value brand bread loaf.

Now on to some good things after the bad make you feel better.

The fried breaded mushrooms were wonderful. Not the best I've ever had, but they weren't a soggy gross mess. They tasted fresh and light five stars for the breaded mushrooms

The two cheesecake brownies that I ordered While although not looking like the picture which nothing ever does, men having minimal cheesecake batter in it. We're so good

The food itself was hot like it had just come out. Served to me at a table. It was not cold. It was not sitting which means...

Truly Disheartened – Worst Experience Ever

This used to be my fiancée’s and my favorite late-night spot for gyros and wings. We loved it so much we would order at least once a week. Unfortunately, after todays experience, I will never return.

I ordered 15 wings and specifically asked for extra wet sauce—their signature sauce used to be the best around. Instead, I received wings that were extra dry and, on top of that, they shorted me a wing. I also had to pay an additional $6 for fries, which were served in the smallest box possible and not even filled.

When I called to let them know, the staff told me to drive all the way back so they could “remake” the order. I asked if they could just make it right the next time, but they refused. After wasting more time and gas, I showed up only for them to hand me one single wing as a replacement. Completely insulting.

To make matters even worse, one of the cooks made an unbelievably degrading comment, saying, “let me show you, you must have never made a girl wet before.” Absolutely unprofessional, disgusting, and offensive—not just to me, but especially to my fiancée who was standing right next to me.

They even counted the wings in front of me as if I was lying. The lack of respect, customer service, and professionalism is shocking—especially from a business that has just opened a third location.

This establishment has completely lost my business. A place we once loved has turned into one of the most unprofessional, cheap, and disrespectful restaurants I’ve ever encountered. I will be warning as many people as possible...

Normally, I don't write reviews, but on 9/7/2023, I went in on my break to get lunch for the second time that week. My grilled chicken on my 2 gyros were not fully cooked. I called back and asked if they are cooked from raw, they said yes. I then explained the situation and asked if I could get replacements. I ate half of mine before I realized it, and my brother didn't eat his first batch. I come back with fresh ones. Fully cooked, so we assume all is well. I was not rude to the staff and even joked about working in a kitchen, and understanding mistake happen. 2 days later my brother is in the hospital with food poisoning from Campylobacter bacteria. For those that are not educated, that is a food born illness only found in chicken. Me and my brother only ate chicken once last week, and it was at Sam's. Too bad we can't sue then for my brother's hospital bills. I'm going to an urgent care tonight as my symptoms are getting worse. The hospital had a mandatory health inspection investigator called both of us, and they affirmed our suspicion. I will never eat here again. I was very nice and yall could kill someone doing this. Shame on you Sam's. This is why your other location...
