The Blend (34th St N) Coffee & Cocktails — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Came to this location the day after Halloween, waited at the drive-thru speaker for a few minutes before anyone said anything, not a huge deal. Once I ordered and got to the window I waited 6 minutes before anyone even said a word to me just to be asked what my name was and what I ordered. The guy at the window then laughed and said sorry we’re having a lot of problems and continued doing what he was doing previously. I waited another 10 minutes and he did the same exact thing again, while there was another taller blonde woman cackling about the situation. This entire time I’m watching cars pile behind me and eventually leave, the issue for me was that I had already ordered so I was stuck waiting. Finally after another 15 minutes passed (literally 31 minutes total) another girl I hadn’t seen yet asked me what my order was, the employee that origins helped me laughed and said hah she actually cares, too bad our owner doesn’t. She gets my order to the person making the breakfast sandwiches and after about 5 more minutes finally gives me the sanwich I ordered 36 minutes ago. Then she asks me what coffee I ordered, and begins making it, at this point almost everyone in line behind me is beginning to pull out of line and leave. I am a super patient person and I get things happen I worked in hospitality for years myself. That being said I will never go back to this location again, there was a severe lack of work ethic among every single person minus the one that actually decided to be helpful. Zero accountability or care for their jobs, if you like the blend like I do I’d recommend the Pasadena location, the people are amazing everytime I’ve been and it’s likely you could drive across town to Pasadena faster then you’ll be served at the blend...

What could have been a quick, EASY and cheap solution for my disgusting drink turned into such a fiasco, that now I’m searching to speak with the district manager.

I ordered a spring drink from the suggested drinks menu in front of the cash register, the drink tasted awful and was extremely watery, bitter and sour. I had originally asked for additional cream or milk- which I was told would be an up charge, I then asked for a remake or to just replace the drink with a regular iced coffee ( cheaper than the spring beverage) .. the assistant manager said no “it wasn’t their fault that I didn’t like the drink”. I asked for refund after arguing for a few minutes. Again, the manager said no, ”it was against policy and she didn’t want to jeopardize her job” - - which I hope she does bc she shouldn’t be in the customer service industry to begin with. There are ZERO signage’s that state a no refund policy !

Eventually she added cream to the drink. She then told me she’d write my name down and the manager would get in touch with me & there’s nothing else she could do for me. (Which she didn't really do anything but lose a customer and add cream to a disgusting drink)

I’ll be sure to ask all of my classmates, and faculty right next door to never purchase from them again.

The customer service is soarly lacking as is the integrity of the food & bev being served.

Seeing as most of the reviews are good, I was really disappointed when I did not enjoy my visit. This cafe was decorated well and had TONS of space for everyone to sit down, relax, or even do work. Seeing as it was my first time, I asked the staff about their favorites or if they had any suggestions they preferred. While it obviously wasn't her fault, she said she was knew and therefor didn't suggest anything. With that being said, I ordered what was on their menu as their signature drink along with an ice cream blended espresso. Neither drinks were all that great, their signature tasted like mediocre black coffee with a tiny drizzle of caramel stuck to the top of the lid - which surprised me because the description made it seem like it would have been so much more. The blended expresso wasn't great either because it was watery and more like an icy slushy - not creamy at all. To me it seemed like it was just ice ... NOT ice cream .. blended with expresso. This is usually one of my favorite coffee drinks so I was excited they had this in their menu but it wasn't at all what I was expecting. Maybe I did not order the right things but to me this seems more of a trendy place to hang out rather than enjoy a good...
