My husband and I come here almost once a week. We found this is so far the best. However, the past couple of times have been disappointing. The service is never a problem but the food or lack there of when it comes to timing has been terrible. Example few weeks ago (I know they were busy) we came in got sat a right away, took a few min which is normal for a busy day to get our drink order no worries. They came back and we started to order our food starting with our appetizer I order chorizo queso. Always I say "I like to start with" as most appetizer should be before the meal. We placed our full order and expected the queso to show up. Our food came but chorizo queso never did. And why wait for my actual meal to get cold waiting on our appetizer, so in true fashion we started to eat. Again I know they were busy but it did take some time for our waiter/waitress to come to the table at that time we were almost done with our actual meal and the appetizer never showed up. he said he would checkon it I said to cancel it were almost done now, but thank you. As he proceeded to walk away the appetizer finally shows up. And we turned it away bc at this point were ready to leave. Then forward a few weeks (about 2 weeks) we came back in this evening less busy great got sat right away buy our waitress/waitress I guess must have been caught up making a ton of drinks so a little longer than normal we had another waitress tell us that she would get us started that great with our drinks and said our waitress will be right with us. Ok great our waitress comes to take our order again I say I would like to start with chorizo queso expecting the appetizer be before our meal so this time I held off on chips and salsa bc man I was excited, we get it this time. Well my tacos came a few moments, we wait and then my husbands food shows up and now I am a little frustrated. The waitress notices right away to let us know were still waiting for the chorizo. I said that fine. We FINALLY get it and it looks horrible all this anticipation on waiting for this 😫 was just horrible. Looked like ground beef with a splash of queso. Like WTH if you dont have the chorizo to make it just say so. It was just a pile of meat (see picture) and it tasted terrible. I have lived in El Paso,TX and let me tell you I know what chorizo smells and taste like and that is not it. Not to mention, I wanted a cheese dip not a meat dip. Stay away from the chorizo queao dip and stick with normal Blanco queso that seems to be the only queso they can get to you before your meal and look and taste good. Dont worry we will return but never order that again. Also if it takes so long to make we should be notified when we order it. Not that it matters bc I will stick with regular queso dip until i go back to texas for real chorizo. Thanks so much.

I was really craving Mexican food being away from Texas and all. Started off w/chips & salsa; chips were good and the salsa was really tasty for a table salsa. I added on some queso; that was a bit runny and bland.. still decent. After looking over the menu.. I decided on getting an Asada Torta & the enchiladas Bandera! The enchiladas came with/3, each one had a different sauce topping.. rice and beans. The enchiladas were all really good! Rice was tasty and the beans had good refried taste and they were topped with some white cheese. I had to ask if the plate came with tortillas.. came to find out that’s not normal. So I added an order of flour tortillas. I’m used to homemade.. or at least cooked, the flour tortillas were straight out the package.. almost felt steamed. That was the only complaint. The torta.. man, that hit the spot! It was loaded, and the salsa that came with it was tasty & just the right amount of spicy!! I poured that whole container on my torta & asked for a container to go! Food was delicious.. and the waitress was super nice! I’ll have to go back soon!

Nice Mexican restaurant tucked away on Route 66 in the small Army town of Waynesville, Missouri. From the moment you walk in until you leave you’re great like one of the family. It’s got more of a younger feel than the other Mexican eateries in town with cool decorations. We’ve come here several times now and have never been disappointed. Our server most recently was Alberto who treated us like we were special and answered all our questions in detail. I tried a new dish called Pollo Arandas. It’s a grilled chicken breast topped with chorizo and a creamy cheese sauce. I was worried that the cheese would be overpowering but it was light and creamy and had so much flavor. It’s my new favorite! They also have a great happy hour that lasts all night. I highly recommend you stop by and give them a try.

Had the chance to grab a bite at El Cabritos last week, they're not messing around! First off, they have the best authentic Mexican between Dallas and St. Louis, and the margaritas to back it up with!

They just added an assortment of Birria to their menu, and man, it's a game-changer! I had the Quesabirria and it was off the charts—perfect spice mix, tender meat nothing short of perfection!

The service here is top-notch. The staff is super friendly, making sure you're taken care of without having to wave someone down. It's obvious they're all about making sure you leave happier than when you walked in.The vibe here is spot-on for families or anyone looking to relax in a welcoming spot. They've got a cozy setup for smaller groups and plenty of room for the big gatherings, including a party room and an outdoor patio that has lights for night.

People coming from Ft Leonard Wood, this place is super convenient, just a 7-minute drive from the main gate right on Rte. 66! They're no strangers to hosting military events, which says a lot about their space and staff. Seen them handle a crowd of 45+ without breaking a sweat, and they've still got more room outside if needed.

They're a solid part of the local community. They're a small business with a full bar, and the capacity to host big groups—big plus for the folks from FLW looking for a place to do HAILS & FAREWELLS or graduation parties! 🫡

Did I mention they have a drive through for calln-in orders!...

The drink was good the food..............fermented. The salsa that came with the food was fermented and I had poured it over my meal. I ordered the molcajete and an appetizer. $$ I called to speak with the manager and it was a day off. I left a message to have him call me back and the person on the phone took my name and number and said he would call back the next day before noon...….NOTHING.

I found their Facebook page and sent this instant message......…"I came in for the first time yesterday the 10th. I ordered an appetizer and the molcajete to go. While I was waiting I had a margarita. When I got home, I wad full groom the margarita so I put the food in the fridge for work for today. When I pulled it out of the fridge I heated it up and poured the salsa over the top. I dipped the tortilla in the salsa that was left in the container and it tasted bad, as in carbonated, fizzy bad. I can send a picture of what is left (most of it) and can bring it in. I am either looking for my money back or for the food to be replaced please."

I could tell someone viewed the message within 30 minutes. I called the restaurant back to ask if anybody monitors the Facebook page and she told me the manager does.....still CRICKETS!

Poor food, worse management. ...
