BLUF: The good- Ramen. The bad- Sushi. I don't recommend any raw ingredients. We ordered salmon sushi and didn't eat it because it smelled foul and the cuts included the grey part which should not be served raw. We also had a salmon roll and that tasted very off. We didn't get sick but that's a big red flag on raw ingredients. We had a tuna roll though and that tasted good. We also had the spicy miso ramen which was excellent. A great ramen is very hard to find so this was a big treat and we'll definitely return again for the ramen. We didn't have their hibachi but we suspect, based on the high quality of the chicken in the ramen, that it's probably very good. We'll try that next time. I'm not happy they charged a 3% credit card surcharge without advising us first. That's just not nice or professional. This was our first visit and it was awkward to have to figure out their "non-service" style on our own. They say "hello" but they don't seat you, they don't bring a menu, they don't take your order, they don't bring utensils, and they don't tell you that they don't do those things. When I picked up our order an employee came out with a small container of YumYum sauce but saw I had one on the platter. I asked to keep it but she wouldn't let me have it. The container carries probably 2 tablespoons of YumYum sauce. I was taken back that she wouldn't give me the sauce. Then after arriving home I reviewed my receipt and saw there was a charge of 3.5% credit card use. I was not informed of this charge. I would have paid cash rather than have paid 15% tip, 8.725% tax, and 3.5% credit card surcharge. The tax can't be helped but additional charges are not. I tried speaking to a manager and she was just as bad at making excuses and telling me it happens. Very disappointed by the staff. I called ahead so I wouldn’t have to wait long. They told me 15 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes later and she said it would be 15 minutes later. I waited 20 minutes and went back up front and they couldn’t find my food order for a minute only to realize it was on the bottom shelf underneath and never paged me or anything. My food was cold and gross by the time I got home. I spoke to the manager and she had a non caring attitude. I was extremely disappointed.
