We were referred here by our good friends.. Overall not a great experience. We ordered our food first, the waitress(Kinz? I believe is her name) was back talking to the cooks in the back which is incredibly unprofessional. Half the food was unavailable in the menu which was disappointing. While we were ordering our beer our number for our food was taken off our table along with our receipt, so I had to get that replaced(didn't get the receipt though). We waited over 40 minutes before we got our food, burger patty was warm/cold, fries were cold. The food would have been fantastic if it was fresh. We ate it anyways because we were starving and the staff was hard to come by. I went back to the front to speak to the waitress about my food, immediately she asked if I wanted to talk to the kitchen, I told her I want to talk to anyone who is going to solve this. Initially I'm looking for a refund. She dipped out and ran away from the situation, the cook came out and I spoke to him. He knew my order. And said he cooked it fresh. I said "I understand but by the time it got to us it was cold", he started to pull up our order and the waitress came back, she wouldn't even look me in the eye. It wasn't the cooks fault, its the waitresses fault, or this business does not have the right amount of staffing to support the amount of business they have. The cook was looking through orders and told the waitress he hasn't seen half of them. She didn't apologize or take any responsibility even though she rang us up, brought us our food, and ran away from the front when I came back with an issue. This bar/dine in has great potential but needs works. We were refunded but not refunded the tip, the waitress kept that. I give this a two star because the bartender did a solid job, was confident and gave us a great experience as far as...
Read moreThis place is awesome. Great small town bar feel. Feel free to bring all your furry friends in. I mean all. I've heard stories of not just dogs and cats here, but goats and alpacas too. They're allowed inside as well. Extensive craft beer listing with electronic tap boards (I wish more bars in Austin would start doing that). I love the way the live music is set up to where you can see it and hear it throughout anywhere in the bar, yet it's not too hard to keep up conversation or play some board games during it if you want to. You can have southern comfort food brought to you from the place next door which is a big plus. Staff are mostly friendly, knowledgeable, and can keep up with everything going on with the exception of a couple green sleeves who I'm sure will get it eventually. My only complaint is that they don't have updated wine menus to look over when you're thinking about what you want. There's a lot of wine here. I mean a lot. While the bartenders are great at answering any questions you might have about it, it is sometimes too busy for them to realistically give you a good answer and keep doing their job. Wine lists would help with this, and I'm not sure why they don't have them. Otherwise, this place would...
Read moreNever had a problem with the kitchen. I’ve actually recommended the salads before. Today was such a bad experience, it’s quite embarrassing because I brought friends from out of town. First we ordered what we have got time and time before queso and fries and a fajita salad. We were told “you can’t do fries and queso” there was no “we can do that with an upcharge”, we were told we CANNOT do that. So we ordered the chips and queso and a large order of fries. My friend ordered the cob salad with ranch dressing and the bleu cheese on the side. When it was brought to our table the ranch dressing was on the side and it was covered in bleu cheese crumbles, we brought it back and said we wanted bleu cheese one the side (it was ordered on the side because the husband couldn’t remember if she liked bleu cheese or not), they responded with “oh we thought you meant bleu cheese dressing not crumble” so they took the salad back. TEN minutes later they came back to us outside and said “it’s going to be 20 minutes for your salad, we thought you meant no bleu cheese dressing not crumbles”. It has been 30 minutes and we still do not...
