Before I say it , let me just explain.. I do love loud music very much, and although I've never actually tried it myself.,. I do enjoy karaoke bars. I also did find it quite entertaining to watch the bar tender making drinks and beltin' out Bon Jovi into the mic at the same time. Not bad. Now here is the reason for the missing 2 stars. This place is very small. There are alot of tables packed in, and very little open floor space. There are a couple of speakers mounted up on each end, one by the bar and one in the corner of the entrance side. There might be more idk, but they must have them turned up at max volume or very near because you cannot even talk to someone sitting across the table from you unless you can read lips. If it were a larger establishment it would be just fine. At this one, it is impossible to get away from the noise, so if you go during karaoke don't expect to socialize much. I actually live pretty close to this place and if I step outside my house, I can hear the music and singing on Friday nights. They also, of course have poker machines that are somewhat separated around the corner. This place would get a much higher rating if they took out about 4-6 tables, and turned down the volume just enough to be able to have a conversation. I also don't think it's necessary for a bar that size to serve food. I might be alone on this one but this place to me should be like an in and out bar. Come have 1-2 drinks and unwind, then carry on. That is just mainly due to the size and location. The employees and service are great! They are very knowledgeable and know how to make good drinks. They just need to be a little more realistic about their ideas until they find a bigger place. As it sits now, I would not choose to go there after I've been working all day, but occasionally I go...
Read moreWent n sat down at the bar. The only black person - 6'3" male - in the place n 4 people already at the bar to the left of me n a couple to the right when I walked in. Just us 5 in the whole place n they'd already been waited on. The two guys behind the bar, one looked like Ernest T. Bass with his cap visor flipped up in front like Gomer. The other dressed in black with a black cowboy hat on like Waylon Jennings (no disrespect to the legendary country star by this comparison). They talked to the people on both sides of me. Stopped in front of me to do wutever but wud never make eye contact or even acknowledge I was sittn there. I sat there at least 15 minutes just lookn at'em n they'd never look at or say a word to me. Two lady's walked in n headed to the end of the bar. Gomer went str8 to them n took an order. Came in stood directly in front of me, facing me filled a glass from the tap, wudn't look at me n gave it to the lady. Then ignored me for minutes afterwards. I kindly got up n left. If u're a black person those two obviously don't want ur business so steer clear n spend ur money at one of the other sports bars/bar n grills where the only color the staff cares...
Read morewent there on a Friday night because I wanted to get something to eat. Ended up playing video poker and not getting food very very noisy place and people were would stand behind you waiting for your machine which annoys me and causes me to lose more money than I normally would but that's my problem. The next day I've been in there for lunch with a friend and they don't have a real cook until 4 so we got some bar food which the waitress admitted that the nachos she had to scrape the bottom of the can to get chili out my friend did not doesn't night like chili she only wanted beans at the menu said. however they do have French dip prime rib sandwiches that sounds great but and I wanted to go there for lunch but my lunch is at 1 and they don't serve them till after 4 so I'll just have to make other arrangements to try them and tell them I don't...
