This is the absolute worst garbage I have ever tasted. Apparently the cook doesn't know how to COOK. Fried shrimp with absolutely no shrimp in it except maybe a little piece of the tail. I should post a dissection of this, looking for the fish? The sweet n sour chicken was more like some sick chicken pudding. The Vegetable fried rice contained absolutely no veggies, except maybe a random bean sprout from someone else's dinner. And the beef was inedible. So.... called in and spoke with Bella, she had no one else to direct us to. Piss poor customer service!!!! We are told to call back later!!! No, I'll just let the world know what to expect. A former great place now I guess I'll just hope I don't get sick!!! Update: after 3 calls and promises of the manager going to calling us back. It has been exactly one week, finally spoke to manager Tracy. She didn't return our call we just kept calling her. She admitted to not serving a whole shrimp, even though the menu sells by the piece. Maybe we shouldn't expect honesty? They do that on every order!! The manager was rude and instead of humility and an apology she went with the "that's the way we do it around here attitude". Not good customer service. She at first only offered us a $10 credit on our next visit. NOPE I will never eat there again. Then she went generous and offered us $20. Except I paid $40 for inedible food. NOPE!!! I'll just keep the posts going. Check Yelp and Trip advisors web sites as well. I would rather eat top ramen than give them my business. But if you want $20 bucks worth of garbage, you can have my credit. And yes I will keep up the bad reviews until they have a 1 star rating and the doors get boarded...

We called on Christmas Eve at 12:00 noon to let them know that we were going to have a party of 12 arriving at 6:30 pm that evening. I made sure to tell them that we had a mixture of children and adults. When we got there everything was set up tables, etc. Service was extremely poor, they were busy, but I had to get up and get water for the table, napkins. Our ticket got lost in the kitchen so some of us waited 2 to 21/2 hours for our food. Then the acting manager came out and said they would give us 20% off our ticket and this was final or they would call the police. Our waitress was running her but off, I believe she was new or had not been their long. We saw other waitresses and busboys just standing around and not helping her. I saw at one point she actually fell going into the kitchen. It was not her fault that we had bad service at all she was trying but had too many tables. The management or anyone else there every apologized for their poor service. The one lady said well you had your egg rolls and soup, so you had something. All the people that were sitting around us had ate and left and the new people were eating and we still had not gotten our food. They chimed in and said well we were being rude. They didn't have a clue what they were talking about. We love the food and have been going there over 20 years but they didn't care that we did not got taken care of. We will not be going there and are going to tell everyone we know what crappy service and attitudes we got there. We had a 17 month old sitting there for 2 1/2 hours before our food even got there and a very...

I give 2 stars because I've grown up eating here and have always loved it. However this is the third horrible experience in a row that I'm about to tell yall about. The first two bad ones were In the establishment i got food that was just drenched in grease and didnt taste good and half the food was wrong on one of those occasions and they refused to fix it saying that we ordered a bunch of shrimp and things. We didnt since I'm allergic to seafood but ok charge us for food we didnt order and didnt eat awesome. And now tonight I ordered soup and fried rice to pick up and take home for my sick husband and I get there like 3 min after 9pm because i got lost in the dark and they refused to unlock the door long enough to hand my the food and my give them money (with tip) because they close at 9. They literally took my order past 830 so I mean it's not like I didnt leave my house right after ordering to get there in time. But that's not all they called as I was about to order somewhere else what they made but refused to sell me to say to come back and they will NOW SELL IT TO ME. I said no thanks because they just lost me as a customer because what they did was unprofessional and rude. I have worked in the food service industry for 15 years and have never had someone run a business or allow their employee's to act in such a way. I wont be giving my money to them for a very long time...

We decided to finally try this for the first time tonight as we've heard a lot of folks talk about this place through social media. We ordered on their website for pick-up and the total wait time from getting there to food pick up was around 12 minutes. Definitely fast and good service, and I can't really say the food was bad - it just left a lot to be desired. Fried rice was extremely bland which was a serious letdown. The chow mein was decent, the sweet and sour chicken wasn't crisp/soft in some bites but the sauce was decent. Honestly the best dish was the Mu Shu Pork - would recommend that for sure from a presentation and taste standpoint. Salem is a very weird city in the sense that there is no defact-o Chinese restaurant anymore these days. All have their own singular dish that's great, and everything else is mediocre - average - food. Lum-Yuen is another example of that. Solid 3 star. ⭐⭐⭐

Went for the lunch special specials. Wife got the daily special (sweet sour shrimp, pork chow mein, pork fried rice) and i got the conbo 4 (see menue photos). Restaurant had 10 to 12 tables full. Our order was taken quickly, hot tea came out right away. Moments later, our food arrived. Good quantity for the price and was filling. The menue items were fresh, tasty, and did not disappoint.Place was clean and the servers were friendly even though they were clearly busy. Upon my request, they brought out hot oil and chilie paste. They do have saracha. Personal preference though for golden crown chow mein instead(less celery). Oh, the fortune cookies are fantastic, something to look forward to as we finished the pot of tea. Overall, lunch was very good and will go back again.

It's not as good as it used to be. They had to make changes to food because of Covid, so I am hoping things will go back to the way they were when/if Covid ever settles down. We always ordered Lemon Chicken and a few other things. The other things were good, but the Lemon Chicken is a big change to me. The Lemon sauce was not as lemony and the chicken was completely battered and deep fried chunks instead of a whole breast that was fried, sliced and layed on top of a bed of lettuce with lots of extra sauce. That was what I was really looking forward to. I probably would have given 5 stars if the sauce was the same. Again, granted things had to be changed for cost and spoilage reasons, so I understand. Covid has had a bad effect on everyone.
