Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Salem

Edit: after reading other reviews, it sounds like this is a common occurrence at this location.

Really not a Dutch Bros fan to begin with as it's a bit too sweet for my taste but I decided to give this location a try, due to convenience, not just once but twice. Both times the people outside taking orders stopped to talk to people for extended periods of time not taking other people's orders causing the line to take a long time. The first time I had two cars in front of me and I waited there for 25 minutes. When I finally got to the window I sat there for an additional 5 minutes while they made other drinks for people who hadn't arrived at the window yet before they made my drink. I was never acknowledge at all but they talked to the person at the other window the entire time. The second time there were three cars in front of me and I sat there for 15 minutes while the guy taking the car's order two cars in front of me (it was whoever was in the Dutch Bros van). I also want to mention that there was no longer anyone in front of the Dutch van at the window but the van hadn't pulled to the window because he was talking to the guy outside taking orders. Late last week around the 4th of May, I visited this location and was absolutely floored by the amazing customer service that was given to me. The amount of love and support I received touched me and i would highly recommend this location to be your go to destination for your morning cup of coffee. I had just learned some very disturbing personal news. I was extremely emotional and visibly upset. (Trust me i was trying to keep it together.) The young man who was doing the pre-orders at the cars since the line was fairly long, not only did he engage in a heartfelt conversation with me which was wonderful, but to my surprise. When i went to pay for my drink i was informed by the gentleman who was the cashier that my drink had been paid for by the young man who took my order. I recommend this location not only for their delicious beverages but also for the love and support as well as the and words of encouragement i received. This location truly cares about the customer. I will be definitely returning to this...

This morning the girl who took my order was a sweetheart...when the guy handed me my order, one of my drinks was a larger size than I had ordered. I guess most people wouldn’t mind this oops. But it was for my son and the drink was huge so I asked them to make it a small like I ordered...no problem he said..a minute goes by and he hands it to me and it was evident he just dumped it in a smaller cup and put fresh whip cream on (I ordered a shark attack frost and all you could see was whip cream and red in the cup, not any blue like the drink has) I told him I knew he had just dumped it into a different cup and wanted it to look like a shark attack..he tried to argue with me and make me feel like I’d done something wrong by asking for what I ordered. He finally offered to remake the second drink and this one was ok. I’ll stick to my normal Dutch bros location...
