Lucky Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Salem

Not only did it takes 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge I walk through the door I sat there for an additional 30 minutes after I ordered to go. only one combination plate and a side of fried shrimp my orders out there under the heat lamp for 10 minutes, and I have to ask them to check on my order when I paid them they ripped the money out of my hand and slammed the change back into my hand I had gone into the video poker lottery area won a little bit of money they ripped my ticket right out of my hand and slammed my earnings back in my hand. there were multiple customers coming in angry because they messed up the order or left half of the order out, they screwed up my order they are accommodating too many people for the place that they have they don't work good Under Pressure they get Snappy and rude they can't even pay out the lottery on a low winning ticket and are paying out of pocket and telling people when they win just go to her and she'll pay it out of pocket pretty sure the Oregon Lottery dont work that way. I don't care how good the food is service like that is absolutely unacceptable I will not be going back because of how I was treated. getting your orders correct and out to the correct people you need to get your business together...

We LOVE Lucky Garden!! I grew up going to China Town in SF all the time and there are a few things I really miss. Lucky Garden reminds me of home. They don't use the common premade products so many Chinese food places use these days, they chop everything themselves! Their food is fresh and stands on it's own. Egg foo young? Awesome! Garlic green beans? Awesome! They have large portions and reasonable prices. Because I love Lucky Garden so much, I started using them to cater my union meetings (Local 3581 Woot!) Everyone likes the food... THAT in itself is a miracle! I have had our order delivered several times, (call at 11 when they open, for a 12 o'clock delivery), bc they don't always have delivery staff ...They are usually on time and always super nice... (And we are all the way on the other side of Salem, downtown, but they will come, even though we are outside of their delivery area bc we make large orders, usually $75 or more...) My whole department has Chinese food days now and the menu gets stolen off my desk on a regular basis! Jenny at their...

This is in response to NA, the couple that found the broken plastic piece in your food. I was your waitress that evening and while I understand your frustration and negative opinion of the situation, the review given is not accurate. I apologized multiple times and comped the plate in which the plastic was found to try and make up at least a little for what had happened. I did what was in my power to make it right. I explained this upon giving the bill for the rest of the meal and apologized again saying I wished I could do more. I am very sorry that this was the experience that you guys had at our resturaunt, I have had similar experiences at places I have eaten at and didn't get my entire meal comped either. I am writing this response not to defend what was found in the one plate you ordered but to defend my actions that seemed to be intentionally forgotten and left out of the post made, also because I believe that if one is going to post somthing for the public to read that it should be done with truth, wether positive...
