Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Salem

Let me tell you...😊 Everybody that knows me knows that LJS is my favorite go to when it comes to fast food... When I moved back in May the town I moved to has NO Long John Silvers ... Oh the devastation that came over my soul I wish upon no one... Anyways ... My dear sister had to be put in the hospital June 17th ( diabetic seizure) and put into a medically induced coma... I couldn't get to her bedside until the 19th... Not allowed to stay with her 24/7 I had to go... On my way to find a place to lay my weary bones I saw a beautiful sight... This LJS sign lit up in all its beautiful glory... Not wanting to eat in my car or let my meal get cold trying to hunt a room to stay I went in... I have you know that this particular LJS was the CLEANEST and FRIENDLIEST one I have ever been in... The customer service was the best I've EVER gotten .. From the fellow that took my order to the other ladies and gentlemen working... ALL of them had smiles and said hello, hi or welcome to Long John's. When I got to the table with my food, drink and sauces excitement started to build... Usually by the time I've gotten my food, drink and little cups of sauce at any other LJS my food has gotten a bit on the cool side...NOT HERE 😊 My fries, fish and puppies were ALL still hot and crisp and so amazingly delicious I wanted to cry. (tears of joy though) .. I then sent my father ( yes he was there but my number 1 meal with a Dr. Pepper had become my universe and nothing else mattered 😂) to get me a slice of that Heavenly Pineapple cream cheese pie in which I relished every bite. That was amazement in itself because every other time I've ordered that pie, at other LJS' mind you, its always been frozen rock solid... I am DEFINITELY going back there today and stock up for my road trip back to Edinburg/Woodstock Virginia where there is a GREAT NEED for a Long...

The food has always been good and the price is decent. I havent had too many issued of wrong orders its only happened once and they made it more then right! The only reason im giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because i came 30 mins before close to order dinner for my family. After giving the guy the order for my husband and myself i then gave him the order for my kiddos which was super simple. I do my best to know what i want before i get in line even if it takes me a second to see the exact number. My order wasnt hard at all but once he heard it was more then two things he literally huffed as if me ordering food was an inconvinence. We all get frustrated at times ecspecially in the fast food industry but never let a customer hear or see your frustrations. Next time mute your mic! The lady at the window was super friendly and nice which made up for the experience. I will be back and hopefully the guy i dealt with is having a better day next time! Overall i still recommend this LJS bc its been the cleanest and freshiest one in and...

Very rude you girl at the register. She never said hello, hi, may I take your order etc. I waited at the counter, no one else in line, not busy at all. The girl walks up to the register and just...looks at me. Didn't say a word. She just kept staring. After about 30 seconds of awkwardness, I ask IF SHE COULD HELP ME. She replied "mmmhhhmmm". I told her what I would like. She asked no questions, then again just looked at me. Never telling me what the total was or if I would like anything else. I said "how much?" She just tapped the back of the register pointing to the screen. People like this should not be in customer service. They make the whole place feel unwelcome. Her main job was to take orders from customers so the business could make money, so she can get a paycheck. She acted like doing the work part was below her. I didn't even want to eat my food after this. It's no wonder LJS are closing locations everywhere. I won't be back...
