Just a hair above average for a mexican bakery as far as the selection... much more than most, price was a little higher than average. Service was friendly, bi-lingual.....well spoken and the coffee shop addition was nice. We tried six options this time at a total of $8... We had what looked like a croissant like crusted pie, it was flakey and had a guava fruit center (nice option for filling) but, was not our favorite...to much crust and the filling was a ton of sugared jelly but packed with guava flavor! The cone bread filled with creme was interesting and we have had several around town before....bread was ok but then the creme just took over, the creme was bland, again... Not our favorite. We tried a chocolate/mocha "strudel" like pastry....flaky layered pasty but the center was very sugary and to me detracted from the overall taste. The swirly hand looking pastry was light, crunchy and had a nice honey/toffee like taste. Light, crunchy and a hint of sweet, that's a winner to me! Triangle, lemon, turnover was sweet with a sort of flat lemon flavored filling. It was good but not high in flavor power. Lemon scone looking yummy was my favorite! It was like a scone but better flavor, buttery with hints of lemoned sugar and fluffy for a coffee bread. Very pleasant! We tried this place because the cherros here are great! We will try again maybe in the...
Read moreI ordered a mil horas cake here for my moms birthday party through the phone 3 days before the party they told me they could do it and charged my card. The day of the party I went to pick it up and when I gave them my name they said there was no ordered placed and they didn't have a cake under that name. After some waiting time I finally got to talk to the manager where I sent proof that I called from my phone around 1 pm she checked her phone records and my call was there. She talked to the women that answered my call who told her she didn't remember since she answered many calls that which I understood but I wanted my money back. At this moment the manager was trying to get me to order another cake when the party for my mom had already started at this point. She told me she couldn't give me money back and left it at that. I disappointed in the bakery ended up buying a last minute tres leches cake from another bakery. The next day after my party I get call from the bakery telling me that when they where cleaning at the end of the day before they found my cake at very back and where trying to give it to me a day old and after the party I took it because I knew I wasn't getting my money back. At this Point the kids ate the cake but it definitely tasted funny. With this expirence they lost a regular customer and now I'll be getting my mil horas cake from...
Read moreI had to order a cake a day before my parent’s party and over the phone, the lady was be nicest person ever. She took my order and instead of paying the full amount of my order, she suggested I pay half and the rest when I pick it up. It was also very quick and she check first with the baker If she was able to do such a late minute order. When I arrived the next day to pick up the cake it was already made by the baker it was so beautiful and what I wanted. The lady that took my order over the phone was also there with the baker and other staffs so I was able to see the nice lady on the phone and also talk to another person which i assume was the owner? The owner suggested to put more fruits on the cake and she asks if she could take videos and photo. I have the best experience with this bakery. I highly recommend them for your next party. Both cakes I order, tres leaches and milhojas were so...
