Service has gone down hill in recent years!! My girlfriend and I went out for breakfast. The sign said wait to be seated. We waited and we didn't see any staff. While we stood there waiting someone came from the other room and took several customers orders while we stood there. My girlfriend literally has a broken back and she was patiently waiting to sit. Finally another staff came and said we could sit anywhere. One person took our order and someone else brought it. Next time someone came my girlfriend asked for the check. We weren't done eating but didn't have any plans to order anything else. The person who gave us the check came back and asked if everything was alright. My girlfriend said it was. The staff member kept asking if everything was alright and kept antagonizing my girlfriend making comments saying her reasonable behavior saying it was unreasonable and switching between continuing to ask if everything was ok. My girlfriend kept replying for her to leave us alone she kept harassing my gf. Eventually she did leave . A kind older waitress came in checked on us we told her everything was fine and she left we had no problem with her. But the other younger rude brown haired girl came back and started to harass us again after we dismissed! Her once and stated she just was making sure we was going to pay .. I felt we reasonably asked for a manager with reasonable complaints. That was pointless We never had a chance to mention them. All we kept hearing was how we shouldn't be going out ?! Seriously I would never go back after what happened today I have never seen so much disrespect from the staff at any place in all my life. how that (waitress) treated us as paying customers she had no reason to act the way she did...
Read moreA friend and I went there for brunch. Our second visit. We were seated immediately, and after ordering, our food was served in under 10 minutes. I got eggs (over light), homemade corned beef hash (they do offer canned as well), home fries, toast, & orange juice. Everything was cooked perfectly. They give you so much food. I should have stopped eating halfway through, but I ate all the hash. It was too good. My friend had an omelet, homefries, & toast. Our bill total, with tax, was $21. There is minimal parking in the front and more parking in the back with entrances at either end. Our first time there, from the outside, we thought it was a very small, hole-in-the-wall diner. When you walk in, you realize there are two sides. There is a lot of seating. Our first visit was on a Sunday, around 11 am. We were seated in a reasonable time, but they were a bit slow in taking our order and in receiving our food. They were busy. There were also a couple of things not cooked well. My hollandaise sauce was broken, and some of her home fried potatoes were undercooked. But things were definitely good enough to give it another try, and they did...
Read moreAs a first-timer here, I found the food is great, but the service not so great.
The breakfast we ordered didn't come all together as most would expect. We each got one part of our entire order, and then the rest of it didn't come for another 10 or so minutes -- and only after they had to come back to figure out what we already had and what they had missed.
We had long finished what they first brought out before the rest of the breakfast was brought to us. During the meal we were barely checked on and empty plates were not tended to.
The fried eggs were ... fried eggs (nothing special here) but the pancakes were amazing. And enormous! Unexpectedly the pancakes were a little larger than the plate itself. Still they were fluffy and perfectly done.
Would I go back? I didn't particularly care for the laissez-faire I'll get to you when I get to you attitude of the wait staff, but those pancakes were definitely worth the trip. I might go back again. However it would never be my go-to breakfast place and I might not visit it more than a couple of...
