Tepeyac Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Salem

My family and I have enjoyed a few meals at Tepeyac at this point, and they have all been fantastic. I've tried a few different tacos, all were delicious but I just had the carnitas today and ... YYYUUUUMMM. My youngest daughter, who is a little picky, was delighted that they made her favorite taco for her - corn tortilla with avocado and cheese. And my oldest daughter (who has celiac) was THRILLED that they fried the tortillas separately so that she could enjoy a GF tostada - she ate it all and loved every bite. Not only was the food outstanding (flavorful, fresh, and balanced) but the people who work there are kind and delightful. They made sure that everyone in my party of tricky eaters enjoyed our meal together.

friendly staff, amazing food, can’t say anything bad about this place. i came here for the first time a month ago and ordered carnitas tacos. when i got to talking to the cashier, i told him i was picky about my birria and could not find any place that makes it authentic as i grew up eating it. he allowed me to try a birria taco for free, which he absolutely did not have to do, because i would have come back to try it another time regardless based off of how good the carnitas tacos were and how kind everyone was. but i have to say, it was absolutely mouthwatering. everything here is great and the staff are so nice. i am writing this as a sit here on my second visit, thank...

Girls night and didn’t know what to try for takeout?! Tepeyac was getting good reviews so we decided to try it. Three dinner plates-two Birria taco plates, and one camarones con creama. They were delicious! The Birria tacos were amazing! Best I have ever had! The rice was simple yet flavorful. The beans were smooth and so flavorful with melted cheese.
