Disappointing all-around. Probably still working through training issues since they recently opened. To be fair, I might consider revisiting in a few months to see if they've improved, but for now, here are my observations:
The store--immediately upon entering, we were struck by how shabby the lobby appeared. Dirty tables, trash all over the floor, and really bland decor. Maybe they just had a rush or something, which would kinda be understandable. But given the low customer to employee ratio and how new it is, I'd have thought that store would've been spotless!
The service--a nice enough gal stood behind the counter and blankly looked around as we read the menu. I was anticipating at least some sort of acknowledgement that we'd come in--ideally she would have offered some help with the menu or even just a hello. Instead, I greeted her and started ordering. I also didn't hear her greet any customers after us either, which just seemed awkward. While we waited for our food, she stood behind the counter just looking around for something to do, occasionally walking out to check if the drink station was still there or needed restocking--4 or 5 times in a 25 minute period... Pretty sure you're good on lids and napkins, since you check them last! lol. Might have been a great time to grab maybe a broom or a rag...? I also observed another employee return from his break, and throw his food trash into an overflowing receptacle just inside door to the back kitchen, and then push it down into the garbage. He then proceeded to clock-in and begin preparing food orders--no hand wash observed. With the long wait time, impersonal staff, and cleanliness of the place, you're probably only going to want to Doordash from them, if you really have to have their food. Save yourself from going in and subjecting yourself to it in person, imo.
The food- three of us ordered 10 pc wing combos, with fries and (apparently) a drink (we didn't know it included drink, and she didn't give us our cups). We also ordered a chicken sandwich. The drums were overcooked, dry, and almost inedible. The flats however were moist, juicy, and pretty decent--i marked food a 2/5 for this reason. The fries were soggy and cold, and flavor was 'meh'. It seemed like they cooked them first and let them sit while they cooked up the wings. The sauces didn't seem anything exceptional, either. My son said he liked the chicken sandwich well enough, but everyone hated the fries.
I hope they improve! I'll give them another chance in a few months, so they can iron out the kinks. i love wings, but there are already some superior choices--in West Salem no less! The Back Porch, Odd Moe's, Walery's... Can't see Wingstop threatening their business at this time. But I'm happy to provide constructive feedback to help...
Read moreWhatever manager was running today (she stated her name was Tina-matched the name on the door) was super unprofessional, implying my spouse was a liar & when walking away made statements using the phrase “by the way…”. 🥺 It made me sad as I was so excited about this location being in west as we usually make weekly trips to commercial to feed our family of 6.
$80 order($100 after fees/driver tip).
After opening everything up my spouse ended up going back(which we never expect perfect deliveries but we expect a resolution). He brought back 3 large orders of corn(made wrong and had cayenne instead of lemon pepper), a large fry that was soggy and some parts still cold(not cooked through), & a 10pc wing(I ate 2 so there was 8 left, they were almost dry so I had him bring them in to just ask for extra sauce not for them to be remade).
Got home; fries were great & cooked, corn was made correctly so my 4 kids could eat, the sauce for my wings was in the bag but my wings were not!
Go back again: as if the first times interaction wasn’t great, they weren’t so nice this time either, we just wanted the wings back that didn’t get put in the bag as I had the extra sauce for them now at home. She Argued that we didn’t bring in any wings and extra uproar over how they won’t remake it. They finally check their trash to find the box we DID in fact bring in- at this point I’m not eating the wings from the trash so I did expect it remade- but they only wanted to replace whatever wings were found in the trash which was supposedly 6 & not the 8 I had left in there. So she stated multiple times she’s only replacing the 6 and nothing else for us.
I didn’t want a handout, I didn’t want extra items, I solely just wanted what I paid for(which isn’t cheap).
My order was delivered at 1:05 and it is now 2:35 after the two extra trips back to the location and I finally have majority of my order besides being shorted the two wings she insisted on not making(which at this point I don’t even...
Read morethe manager here, tina, is absolutely AWFUL! i came in and the employee up front told us it would be about a 25 minute wait. so after about 50 minutes of almost no orders coming out and a very full store, we just asked for a refund. the employee (i believe his name was adam, he was great and very obviously doing his best to help everyone despite the situation so shout out to him) told us that the manager refuses to come in so he was unable to give us a refund. a few minutes later we see the manager come in. we went up to ask for a refund again since it had been an hour at this point. right as we were getting it our order was called out, before we could even say anything tina turns and says (with an attitude) “they’re getting a refund, put it back” what are you even going to do with the food after that? you should not be a manager if you’re going to refuse to help your team and be decent to your customers. very unacceptable behavior from someone in...
