The day we went the in house ordering/delivery system was disorganized. The guy that took our orders seemed switched off and disinterested in what he was doing. While we were there another staff member called out one ready order at a time, there seemed to some confusion about timing orders and which ice cream was for waiting customers. This happened several times while we where there. I received my ice cream about 10 minutes before my husband did. It had choc chips which I didn't ask for. If I'd known the flavor I ordered had choc chips I wouldn't have ordered it. It would help if they inform customers when ordering their ice cream which flavors have choc chips due to allergies & diet preferences. For those who are gluten & diary free there are limited options of 2 flavors of gluten & dairy free. The ice cream I ordered was average in my opinion. The shop interior is great and has alot of character. Pity about the confusion regarding serving ice cream to waiting customers. Three stars for the ice cream, 4 stars for atmosphere, 2 stars for the confusing...

Nothing bad can be said about this place. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever had anywhere, period! Not as wide of a selection of flavors as a chain place like coldstone, but all of their house flavors are SO good! The location is amazing by the river downtown, and the outdoor seating and ambiance is super cool and relaxing. Despite their sometimes only being one or two people working and the place always being busy because of how good and popular it is, the service is always really good and quick as well. Definitely my favorite place in town. Personally, I recommend the salted caramel peanut butter and/or yellow cake...

always impressed when I see gluten free and dairy free options. place was hard to find based on google directions. I updated where the entrance is on maps so hopefully that helps other people.

we got shakes. the cookies and cream was amazing. the java one was amazing as far as flavor the part that wasn't amazing was all the java beans at the bottom. way too many and way too over powering. I honestly think it would be amazing if you could find a way to actually blend it all up properly. if the means getting a vita mixer or an immersion blender id highly suggest it. its honestly the only reason I'm not giving...

Be sure to enjoy this marvelous treat when you're in Salida! This little shop tucked away along the riverfront is worth seeking out for deliciousness. I tried a little of my sister's chocolate and coconut ~ I'm drooling just remembering the flavor! My husband had a sundae ~ with several other customers looking curiously at him when he chose vanilla ice cream (plus toppings) instead of one of their unique and delicious flavors. Hehehe. He won't make that mistake next time! Generous portions. And we greatly appreciate their use of compostable cups, bowls, and utensils!

And the winner is, for dessert, this is the only place to stop. All the workers are in such great spirits and joyous fun. The ice cream is just great tasting they did run out of what I wanted, which is the purple mountain majesty, but I did try the strawberry and the malted mazel toff. What a combination on a waffle cone! The atmosphere and the scenery were just a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great dessert.
