Visited over Labor Day weekend. We love a good margarita and a dog friendly patio so we stopped. Gentleman greeted us promptly and was friendly and professional. Service was great overall. They were very accommodating. They even offer a "dog menu" which was one of the reasons we landed here. Penny loved her scrambled eggs. There were multiple water bowls available on the patio. We located and filled the bowl ourself, but there were dishes available. I wish I could say we also enjoyed our food and drink, but it was very underwhelming. My fault, I should have clarified that it was a fresh watermelon margarita. It was not. It was a fake flavored one. I'm a margarita fanatic. I've had my fair share of margaritas and feel I'm a good critic. I would not recommend the watermelon margarita. Tasted my husband's house margarita as well - wouldn't recommend this one either. Not the worst margaritas I've had but not much better than "the worst". We were just there to munch but shared some street tacos. The meat was sooo dry and no sauce, cream or salsa was given. It was garnished with a tiny bit of shredded lettuce and tomato pieces. Between the dryness and lack of flavor, they were physically hard to get down. Service was so friendly, too bad the food/drink was so bad. We would not put...
Read moreVisiting from the Denver area earlier this month, we stopped here for a traditional American breakfast but were quickly swayed by the offering of a few different Mexican dishes. The green sauce is bright and vibrant, with fresh tomatillos. The red sauce has a deep, complex flavor and a bit of warmth with cinnamon. I enjoyed the food here so much that now I've eaten here twice in one week - sampling chilaquiles, enchiladas, and molletes - perhaps the best food I've eaten all year.
Coffee is definitely their specialty as well - carefully crafted lattes with foam that stands tall until your last sip. The staff are prompt, welcoming, and responsive.
The quality and service (not to mention the price) make this place a new favorite of mine. Too bad I live three hours away - I'll be looking for any excuse to drive down south and stop here for lunch in the...
Read moreThe waffles were pretty small, which is disappointing for how expensive they are. As other reviews said, there aren’t enough toppings given to cover the waffle/have enough toppings for each bite of waffle. They did taste DELICIOUS and the prices are comparable for mountain towns. Just wish I didn’t leave hungry. Servers were super nice but it took 10 minutes after being seated to get menus/waters. They said they’re training a new barista which explains other reviewers’ disappointment with the coffee. I’d recommend ordering simple black coffee instead of a “fancy” coffee/tea drink because they take a long time and don’t really taste like much on top of being expensive. Overall we enjoyed our meal but left hungry and probably wouldn’t recommend to...
