Ike's Love & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Salinas

Called multiple times and no one answered the phone, but when I arrived at the premises no one was in the shop and they were cleaning the store and didn’t want to take my order. Once I got them to actually take my order, 10 min before closing, they totally got it wrong and when I asked the clerks name she wouldn’t give it to me and a man jumped in and stated that he was management but wouldn’t give me his name either because I expressed I would be posting a negative review due to all the aforementioned issues. The “so called Manager” basically prevented me from obtaining any information about them or an appropriate way to resolve my concerns and unfortunately I will not be going to this place again as a result of this experience. (This is unfortunate because I had been a very consistent patron of this establishment and was blown away by the attitude and lack of desire to actually do business.) Walked into Ike’s thinking it was just gonna be a standard sandwich shop. I was helped by a worker named Chris! Super helpful guy! Also handsome too which is always a plus. Weird thing was as I saw him helping another customer in front of me that was being rude and downright mean. Chris kept looking up and saying “I’m new bro, I’m new to this and screaming as loud as he could ‘auuuugh’, he also kept telling the customer ‘you don’t deserve my mayo, you ain’t worthy of my mayo’” which I thought was the appropriate way of handling that situation at that time. As I walked up next in line Chris listened attentively as I explained what sandwich I wanted. As he was making my sandwich Chris and I struck up a conversation about my favorite hobby (and his too) Thugshaking! Ordered two sandwiches and fries to go. There were 3 others waiting for their orders. Twelve minutes later my name was called, but they forgot the fries. Another 12 minutes went by and fries were still not done. During that time 2 other orders were placed and they all received their orders in a timely fashion. I asked how much longer before my order would be ready since I had an appointment I needed to get to. The cashier told me to be patient and that if I couldn't wait she could give me my two sandwiches and I could be on my way without the fries they forgot about when I placed my order.. several minutes later I got my order and left to make my appointment. As my wife and I drove away we found the fries were soggy and not completely done and the sandwiches that were once hot were now cold. Total time spent waiting for a disappointing order, 28 minutes!!
