During our visit, we ordered the Eggs Benedict Royal, the Salt Lake City omelet, and a grilled cheese sandwich for my child. The Eggs Benedict Royal was absolutely delicious — perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and a flavorful combination of ingredients made it the highlight of the meal. The Salt Lake City omelet was decent, though a bit on the dry side, so it didn’t stand out as much. The grilled cheese was a hit with my kid, and it came with a side of fresh fruit, which was a nice touch and made the meal feel a bit healthier. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which added a lot to the overall experience. We chose to sit outside, and the outdoor seating area was wonderful. There was plenty of shade from the surrounding trees, keeping things cool and comfortable even in the midday sun. It created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. Parking could be a bit limited depending on the time of day, but we noticed there’s some off-street parking available, which helps alleviate the issue. Overall, it was a great spot for a casual meal with family. Tasty food, great service, and a lovely outdoor dining experience make this place worth a visit. I’d definitely return to try more from their menu.

The waiter was very nice but no one there was accommodating in the slightest. The portion was very small, and did not even try to meet expectations. It was a 30 minute wait to get in, 20 minutes just to get water, and another 45 minutes for our food. They didn’t have covered outdoor seats and lucky for us the rain started to pour down on everyone sitting outside. As we’re standing and waiting for our food inside, no one checked in on us once and/or explained how to proceed given that we lost our seats with them being drenched in the rain. I understand the weather cannot be controlled, but the experience was awful given the circumstances. When we did eventually get our food to-go, it ended up missing a part of our order. On top of that, the “Irish Trout” ended up being a small ‘dead’ and wet salmon filet and no one had informed us. We found out once we left. It’s unfortunate because we heard great things about Finn’s. The price for the experience and the food was in the most literal sense, criminal. Not worth a single dollar, an experience so poor we will never be back and will spread the word. I simply do not see why anyone would recommend this place and how you could run a restaurant this poorly. This is my friend’s and mine’s honest opinion. If you try this place out then I hope you’ll have a better experience than ours, but save your time and spend your hard earned dollar elsewhere…

We last went to Finns in 2020 just before COVID hit. Kinda hard to remember exactly how the food was, but we went today and got the same dishes as before. Chicken and Waffles and the Norwegian Omelette. The waffles seemed different - kinda dry and foam-like. Nice aroma but not very tasty. The chicken was fried nicely but was very thin cut, so not very much meat overall. I don't remember it being like that but I'm gonna check my old food photos 😂 It was busy this morning -- if we were true Scandinavians we'd have requested to eat outside (ha ha) but instead it was about 25 minute wait and it was only getting longer after us. Time was about 11:15 am. Prices have gone up $5-$7 per dish since our last visit. And if I'm right about the chicken - we have shrinkflation. Overall an ok visit. The food wasn't as great as we remembered. The charm is still there. Nice building. Decent service but not super personal/attentive. It was busy. We did our best to dine and dash 😂 (for the benefit of those waiting 40+ by the time we left). Warm days are fun for outdoor dining. I even found a cute Swede there! Added the menu since a lot of prices in the review were several years old.

Went here for my daughter’s birthday breakfast. This food was delicious, not processed. The eggs were cooked perfectly, no runny whites at all. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The texture was great. Usually when we get hash browns at a restaurant they almost have a raw flavor abs texture to them. I got the special which was sausage and bacon, mushrooms and peppers on hash browns, topped with two over easy eggs and cheddar cheese. Daughter got the eggs Benedict. Their hollandaise was great, and again eggs perfect and the toast under was crispy and buttery. We also ordered two iced mochas. These were so pretty, well until we stirred them. Yummy. We ended by sharing a raspberry marzipan Danish. Oh boy! The pastry was lightly crispy and they flavor was fabulous. This was such a great meal. We both loved it. And it wasn’t too much food. The portion size was more European size vs American size, and to be honest it was perfect!!

Checked out Finn's in Sugar House for the first time today! We ordered the chicken and waffles and Breakfast Special. We were seated quickly and had a choice of inside or outside. Although it was a bit chilly at noon, I wish I had sucked it up and sat outside in the sun. They offer seat covers to warm up the wire patio chairs which is such a nice touch! The food was wonderful - we cleaned our plates. The waffles came with lingonberries, sour cream, butter and syrup. The chicken was perfect on top and was boneless, which I definitely prefer. Service was great! The staff members were so friendly and fast. The only thing I could possibly complain about is how noisy it is inside the restaurant. I have great hearing, but couldn't hear our server or my significant other - but we've been together so long that we don't have a lot to talk about anyways, lol. I only mention this so others are aware if they have difficulty hearing.

Finn’s is truly a SLC treasure. I am a Sugarhouse local and have been here at least 30 times since moving here in 2015 and it is the most delicious and consistent food in the area. Top spot that I bring friends from out of town for brunch. The open air ambience always smells of scratch ingredients and fresh flowers. Also, I never visit a place without also checking out the bathrooms and Finn’s are adorable, spacious and the best mirrors. Highlights: Open air ambiance Scratch ingredients Consistency Great coffee and espresso Top notch people watching Intimate yet private Food always comes out at a decent time no matter how busy and you know it’s cooked by the chef himself Amazing rolls and bread Staff are talented and kind - water cup is always full Great patio with flowers Don’t miss out. Weekends are very busy. Worth the wait but I hate waiting. Definitely go during week to get best experience.
