UPDATE: We tried it again—better this time. The sweet potato fries were great (and not inedible), and the GF Mac and cheese was good too! I still ended up with the same amount of meat as my 4-year old, so that’s a bummer.
Overall, it was pretty good… not great, and certainly not worth the price. I will say, however, I think some of my complaints are from my own choices and some small issues that could’ve made the whole thing much better. For one, the take out portions for my wife and I were the same size as the kid’s meal. Side-by-side, I got the exact same amount of food as my 4 year old. The 3 pieces of steak were fantastic, and the corn/quinoa would’ve been better fresh (instead of takeout), but still tasted okay. The sweet potato fries were delicious, except I could only eat about half of them because the other half were burned to a crisp.
In all, I think if we had eaten there instead of taken out, we would have had a...
Read moreI don’t know whose restaurant this is or how long they’ve been here but they clearly know what they’re doing. I just had an awesome meal here.
I ordered the Carolina chicken wrap that far exceeded expectations. The chicken was fresh, juicy and cooked perfectly. The bbq sauce was really creative. It had a nice little spice to it that was mild, and not too sweet. I love their take on Cole slaw, fresh cabbage that had a nice citrus flavor to it. The wrap itself was fresh and lightly floured. I love that I was able to have a glass of wine with my meal.
This meal could have easily cost me $45 bucks somewhere else but I ended up paying around $26.
Maybe my favorite part is that it’s a hip, fast casual setting where the staff spoke to me like a normal human. No pre-recited corporate greeting, no obnoxious uniforms, just a nice relaxed environment.
If I lived closer I would eat here all the time. Great experience. I’ll...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to lunch here after reading so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype. The restaurant was understandably packed since it’s new, and the staff was working hard, which we appreciated. However, for a $54 lunch, we expected much better food quality.
My husband ordered the Flying Avocado with a side salad, but the salad was old -- over-dressed and wilted. I had the salmon plate with kale salad and cauliflower risotto. The kale salad was also heavily overdressed, and the risotto was bland and served cold. The salmon, to be honest, was laughable and reminded me of dry hospital cafeteria-style food. The one highlight was the queso, which at least arrived warm and was enjoyable.
Overall, we really wanted to love this place, it's super cute and could've been great, but the food fell short. Hoping improvements are made because it has a lot...
