Good Pie Pizzeria — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

The family wanted pizza for Pi(e) day and decided to try something new while out shopping compared to our normal pizza places. Found Good Pie with very high reviews so we decided to give it a try. Ordered a 14" Supreme and a 12" Mr. Potato Head with a 10 piece garlic bread. Starting with our least favorite, the garlic bread as the marinara sauce was lacking flavor and the dough was just OK as it needed some more flavor and texture. The pizzas were very good and five stars for the toppings and amount but sadly the cheese and dough let it down a bit and why I give it a four star rating (probably a 3.5 but the owner is nice and service was awesome to get a 4). Overall not as good as some other places but a solid place to try something new as they have some different...

My first encounter with this place was late at night after a gig when I needed ANYTHING to eat and this was literally just the closest open restaurant to my house. After my first experience with the chili chicken pie, I'll be working this place into my regular rotation without question. The amount of care these guys put into their crust REALLY shows. Perfect thin and crispy layer on the outside with a slightly chewy interior almost like a fresh baguette. Toppings seem to be of above average quality and I appreciate that they don't put a lot of sugar in their sauce (or hide it very well if they do). It may not be as pretty as some of the more well-known slices around here, but this is some of the most authentic "NY style" street pizza...

Stopped by here today and I’m so glad I did.

I love pizza, and make it a point to try a new place one or twice a month. I can honestly say that from the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pizza, it seriously smells so good in here and it’s SO clean. Spotless actually.

Now let’s move onto the pizza. The crust is perfectly crispy yet chewy, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the pepperoni was super great. The cheese bread? Perfection!

I got to chat with Ali for a bit who I think is the owner. He’s super kind and it’s clear he’s really invested in what he’s trying to build here. Please go support this guy, he deserves it.
