Well that was the first! I'm a regular at this location and usually stop by on my way to work at PCH. Had a mobile order and went to pick it up at 6:30pm and the doors were locked. No one was in the store. I thought "hmm that's weird they are open til 9:00pm on Saturday". A younger guy was sitting outside and said to me after he noticed I tried to open both doors that it was probably closed because of a fight? I just thought well dang! That sucks. I decided to stop by on my way home the next morning after my shift and get the drink I paid for since I had the order history on my phone! I explained what happened to the barista and pretty much treated like I was lying! The girl whom was the closer that night just happened to be working that morning said she was there and the doors weren't locked! She was nice and said ok well will get you your drink, but the other gentlemen there wasn't so nice. Very rude actually and kinda got an attitude. I said well I'm sorry if you thinking I'm Lying but I'm not. I was here and the doors were locked and no one was in your store. I even said I would pay for my drink then and he said "well just to let you know this is the only time we will do this, she said she was here last night" In a very rude way! Ok I get people are jerks and try to get free things, but I wasn't and for how often I'm in the store and buy drinks there I felt awful to be treated in such a way! I hope that no one else has to experience this gentlemen and maybe I just got him on a bad day! Ive worked in management and even when you have A-whole customers you treat them nicely. By no means was I being an A-whole and was appalled by his behavior! Whose to say she was there and maybe taking out trash or something. I have no idea. All I know when I was there at 6:38pm to be exact to pick up my drink and the doors...
Read moreDiscriminatory against families and kids. We have long been fans of this location, bringing our kiddos every Sunday for more than a year. They're toddlers, and they love the staff and the experience. But today we were told our family would not be welcome back and "should be kicked out" because of a new policy all Starbucks stores have regarding disruptive behavior. We asked for an explanation of what our kiddos, or we, did in violation because we always want to help our kids learn and because we've cherished this location and its staff. We were told our kiddos did nothing other than one of them touched a cup when we were ordering a second round of food and drinks. We asked again what was disruptive, and the staff member, who has been kind and helpful in the past, told us to read the policy and we wouldn't be welcome back with our kids.
We always want to help our kiddos learn, and we tend to leave public settings if they're being disruptive. We even offered to pay for whatever item one of them touched while we were making a second order. But today, our kiddos were sitting in their chairs eating and drinking their milks and being friendly with staff. No loud noises. No spills. No running. Nothing at all. So when we were approached and told we "should be kicked out" and would not be welcome back, we were shocked. The experience felt very discriminatory toward families and felt like a complete misuse of a policy that I support. No one wants to enjoy Sunday coffee around disruptive customers. But our family was just enjoying the day when we were unfairly and embarrassingly targeted. The worst part of the experience is that this ruined what had become a fun weekly Sunday outing...
Read moreCame in with my wife on Wednesday to get her coffee like the normal thing we do, before work she we went in grab her coffee but she notice on the app she ordered it on the wrong location so we step aside by the window so she can fix her order to the right location, when she was about to place her order one of the employees comes up and tells us that we need to leave because the lobby was closed, we looked at each other in confusion because the lobby wasn’t closed and there was other costumers then came in after us and she didn’t tell them to leave the lobby, we asked why she didn’t ask them to leave and she said because they are old, which I call bs the costumers were all EMT works and not even old.. I don’t want to put race in here but she told us we needed to leave because we were the the only mixed race there my wife was Mexican/Asian and me white/Mexican and so my wife walks away because she’s hurt and then I come back in and asked where is the sign where it says your lobby is closed then she try’s to change her story saying that the tables and chairs and closed and I told her that me and my wife weren’t even sitting at any tables we were standing by the window she didn’t say anything at all.. to me this was raciest because there was nothing but white people at this Starbucks, I feel like this is so unprofessional considering that I work at a restaurant industry, which out costumers...
