We really want to love this place because it's in our neighborhood. Unfortunately we've tried to go twice within the open hours listed on their website and both times they've been closed! Once was on a Saturday but they were closed for a private party. Instead of having a notification on the website, the only way we knew they were closed was after we arrived and there was a piece of paper on the door about their closure. The second time was on a Sunday (yesterday) for brunch, as their website says they're open on Sundays. But again, their door was shut and the hours on the door said they're closed on Sundays. They also have stopped answering their phone so we even tried to give them a call yesterday to confirm, but they don't utilize their phone line anymore due to robocallers or something. Having a message with current/accurate hours would be helpful. These experiences have been super frustrating because we want to try it and love it but this definitely puts a damper on us...
Read moreTonight we stopped in to Tappo and I'm sure glad we did!! I ordered a ice latte with almond milk and we got a bottle of Washington Hills wine. It was so good. Paired with the Ploughman board, which was a array of fine dried meats, cheeses and fresh fruits. What looked like pickled onions, peppers, and pickles. A delightful fruit preserve and mustard as well. More then enough to share!! My boyfriend ordered the Italian-ish panini. I ordered the Brie and pear panini. Both came with a light mixed greens salad and chips.
The meal was amazing. The atmosphere was comfortable and lush. The perfect place to share a bottle of wine with friends, a bite to eat, or maybe even a coffee date...
The staff was amazing and attentive. I will definitely be returning in...
Read moreThe hospitality at Tappo was unmatched. This place is perfect for small groups. I was just there with the fellas. We tried a cheese plate, a couple flatbread options, and sandwiches. I had the Italian-ish panini which I devoured. The sandwich was accompanied by a light salad, and some yellow rice. I could eat a bucket of that rice. It was so good. I was drinking Pinot Grigio during the meal, and switched to coffee afterward. I saw the espresso machine, and decided I needed to try one. We still weren’t ready to leave, so we were treated to a pot of coffee from some sort of apparatus that used gravity to brew the pot. It was unreal, and so delicious. I was very impressed with the menu, people, and experience Tappo provided. Taking my lady...
