The Sara Thai Kitchen has the most delicious food on the planet❣️
I live in Payson, but I'll drive to Salt Lake to eat there. I'm completely hooked!
I always start off with the chicken satay. It comes with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is indescribable. I always order an extra large side of it and take the leftovers home, if there are any. I've also ordered a huge side to go. I go home and cook rice and drench the rice with it. It's a good as any dessert.
My go to choice is the yellow chicken curry. This is made to absolute perfection❣️
I literally crave the food they make here! It's that perfect.
But the highlight of my visits is to be able to be served by Eli❣️ Eli is the most incredible person ever❣️ Talk about someone with a heart of gold, a smile that lights up the room, and the most attentive server I have ever experienced... EVER❣️ I always feel welcome and special whenever I get to visit with them. 💝
The restaurant is small and intimate. The ambience is so completely inviting and feels soothing, yet there is an air of joy and pure happiness. It's ALWAYS clean to perfection. ALWAYS!
The food is always made fresh to order and it is delivered to the table surprisingly fast. Every person is made to feel as if they are the only ones there. Everyone is so attentive and not overly to the point of feeling annoying. It's just the opposite of that.
On a scale is 1 to 5, I'd rate it an 11! It's not just a meal. It's an experience. If you enjoy Thai food, this place is an absolute MUST all the way around. The only problem is that you won't be satisfied with any other Thai restaurant once you've had...
Read moreIt was our first time eating here and we got our order to go. We wanted to try someplace new and this place was just 5 minutes down the street from where we were hanging out. The reviews and photos looked good, but I'm sad to say our order we received did not live up to the hype. My husband's chicken and other parts of his dishes tasted old. Our rice portion was very small for the amount of soups and dishes we ordered, but it was also overcooked to almost a mushy like consistency. We ordered a coconut soup that was very mediocre compared to others we've had. I personally ordered the massimon curry, which is what I always order at Thai restaurants. It's my go-to dish because It's really hard to mess up. But this one was a very strange massimon, It had a lot of added ingredients I've never seen before, and not in a good way. I wasn't sure how I felt about the large chunks of tomatoes in it, but I can honestly say I did not enjoy the unexpected and overwhelmingly amount of yellow raisins that were in it. Like SO MANY small raisins that are the exact same color as the food, that you can't pick them out or Eat around them. I've never seen raisins in massaman curry before, So that was quite the surprise. After a couple bites with and without the mushy rice, It was a hard pass for me. I offered it to my friends in the room, who also took a couple bites, and also said it tasted strange and we ended up throwing the whole dish away Maybe eating in the actual restaurant is a different experience, but our takeout was very disappointing and over $90. We'll...
Read moreWas looking for a late lunch and Sara Thai Kitchen was recommended, almost in stereo, by two Dancing Crane employees.
I was overwhelmed by the menu due to the selections. So many good-looking options with vibrant pictures. No way the food could really look like this. I had the catfish salad and the angel wings.
Eli let me sit outside so that I could enjoy a beautifully sunny but not too sunny SLC day. Let's talk about Eli---it was like visiting a friend. Totally chill conversation, hospitality skills are top-notch and suggestions and explanations straight forward. The catfish salad is like a gastro dining dish! They make a fluffy....concoction---that is delicious and serve it with papaya, mango (?) green apple and other veggies in a delightfully bright and zesty dressing atop two lettuce leaves. For reasons I will not discuss, I only had one good hand and was able to make the lettuce leaves serve as a wrap. It was DELICIOUS if I didn't mention that above. A dance between all of the good that land and rivers can bring to the table. The Angel Wings were, well, angelic. Perfectly crisped and then drizzled in a flavorful sauce and topped with cilantro. Crisp and juicy and way too filling because they had to ride home with me.
I've had Thai food before but Sara's Thai Kitchen has elevated all of the usual fare and made it a moment for dining. I will be coming back because now I'm intrigued to learn about everything else that is on the menu.
Thank you so much for helping me wind down the last week of my vacation, Eli! Great...
