I love this new location of Xing Fu Tang! Itās so beautifully decorated with lots of sitting room if you wanna have boba with friends. The parking situation can be tough cuz itās 9th and 9th (they really need to put in a parking structure!) but worse case you buy something at Smithās and stroll on through 9th and 9th (yes, weāve done done on super busy days). I especially love the temple fortunes because it keeps my kids occupied while I order and thereās so many fun seats, we can drink and enjoy each otherās company before leaving. Be patient, every drink is made to order with a huge wok of fresh boba so it may take a while but I imagine the line will go quicker with time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful which is especially important in Utah where some of us donāt drink non herbal teas and coffee. It can be super intimidating to go to a boba shop if youāre not used to the menu, but I love how detailed and large their menu was and knowledgeable the staff were. Iād recommend them to have some menus towards the entrance so because their only menu board can create a bottleneck right before ordering. Otherwise, we loved it and my kids canāt wait to go back! Also I didnāt ask about sweetness levels but my kids like it sweet though I may have to ask if I can adjust it for myself next time. Lactose free options available but make sure to ask for no heavy cream topping with the brown sugar brĆ»lĆ©e...

The bobas was super soft and chewy but itāll get hard with ice over time. I didnāt mind that. The drinks are very eye candy and tasted great but they only had 16oz for the price of 6.25 or higher depending on what you get ($13.25 for the gold foil & rose brown sugar drink.) For a 16oz and with ice, you could be getting less for what youāre paying for. Is it worth it? Hm. Maybe not but for the experience? Maybe, yes.
We ordered all of their drinks and they were all pretty good except we didnāt like the fruit teas. Those were sour. And, they didnāt have the rabbit panna cotta which our kids were really looking forward to so we ordered without it. The rose and gold foil drink was not worth the hype and too pricey but very pretty to look at.
Let me mention parking. Parking was the worst! It was so hard to find a parking and we had to park at Smith to walk to the store.
Service was friendly and fantastic! The whole aesthetic of the shop was beautiful.
Overall, we had a great experience and will probably return whenever weāre in the area but definitely the best tapioca pearls in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe reason Iām giving one star is because thereās no excuse for employees to be inside the store for 38 minutes after 11:00 AM without opening the doors. I watched one of the employees look directly at me and then proceed to make herself a drink around the 25-minute mark. During that time, I also saw her playing on her phone and pacing back and forth.
The store only opened because I called the number listed and asked if they planned to open. The employee looked at me while I was on the phone and then lied, saying, āOh, we are open,ā despite the door still being locked.
I know they knew the door was locked after I watched them observe 4 people (including a UPS driver) try to enter the store to no avail.
This level of irresponsibility just seems unacceptable. If the store is scheduled to open at 11:00 AM, and the employees knowingly delay opening by nearly 40 minutes, the least they could do is refrain from staring at waiting customers while making themselves drinks and using their phones.
The drinks themselves are good, but definitely not worth waiting 40...
