I will really try not to be overly critical because I understand that restaurants in this building don’t last very long and also because there is this strange phenomenon in San Angelo where customers beg for new places to eat and then abandons them. This place is bad. Me and my wife were driving by and saw that this place was open for lunch. Impulsively pulled over and went right inside. We were very impressed with the table cloths and were surprised with how classy the place looked. It was only when we sat down in our booth that we noticed that the reason for the table cloths is that all the furniture is busted up. Not a big deal we thought it was charming. Looked at the menus and was surprised to see there weren’t lunch specials. Just full price dinner entrees. Not cheap either, we left paying around $65. For lunch. The food was bad. The marinera sauce was sweet and the meat in my beef cannelloni tasted sour. My wife’s meal had two chicken breast that looked like they were boiled. Rubbery texture that you can’t really cut into, especially with the butter knifes they give you. Super watery broth-like sauce. Both dishes the pasta was over cooked and mushy. If your going to charge your prices it’s understandable to expect a good meal. We didn’t finish our food. Paid and left. I really think this place is just one failure of a business compounding into more of a crazy “throw crap at the wall and hope it sticks”. This place really seems like a cash grab, like they purchased kitchen equipment and are scrambling to get a profit no matter what. “Boba tea? That didn’t work. Asian food? Dang that didn’t work. More Asian food? That failed two more times. Screw it let’s just do something cheap like pasta.”
There’s a lot of great Italian places in town if you’re wanting to dine local....
Read moreI hate to have to do a bad review, I really do. But hopefully this can help this restaurant make some changes and keep it open longer. We know how San Angelo likes to do new restaurants, that’s why I came and gave this place another try. The Alfredo sauce tasted like it was heated in a plastic container. The chicken in my friends chicken parmigiana was a frozen patty. That dish was 18.99, I expect better. The only thing that seemed to be made in kitchen was my kids sliders patties. I spent 60 bucks on me and my kids(didn’t pay for my friends food) and felt kinda ripped off to be honest. I do believe there may be a problem with your drink fountains as well. The water tasted off and the tea...
Read moreStopped here with the wife on a whim one afternoon while waiting for the eye doctor down the street to open after lunch. It was worth it. The Chicken Murphy is highly recommended. The sauce is delicious and they do not skimp on the artichoke or mushrooms. It had nice table dressing with proper tablecloths and place settings. I hope they continue working on building up the interior, as there were only a few seeming issues like fans around for cooling but I did not notice any heat issues so maybe they were just a circumstantial thing. The music was pleasant and fit the atmosphere. I highly recommend trying it out and trying something you have never heard of (like I did with the...
