The building is beautiful, but members of the staff can be disrespectful, if you look younger than 25. One of the employees snapped at me when I picked up a plate I was considering buying from the gift shop. She very rudely told me "don't touch. You might break it and can't afford it if you do". The plate was $25 dollars! If I broke it, I could very easily afford to replace it. That experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. Sometimes we get exhibits that surpass excellence and take my breath away. Plus, their guest-artist music concerts in the auditorium are delightful. San Angelo has a real neat place to visit that displays many different kinds of artwork. Some pieces go back 2,000 years! I saw two paintings that I fell in love with, as well as some other classics.
