I enjoy Popeye’s spicy chicken, red beans and rice, it is really good so when I was hungry the other day I decided to stop in and get some. I entered Popeye's, people were waiting to get their orders filled but no one was in line to order so I stepped up and promptly waited for about 12-13 minutes until someone finally asked if I was being helped, and took my order. I ordered a 2-piece combo, all dark and spicy chicken with red beans and rice. I then waited as other people came in and ordered watching as everybody including the people after me were served and I was the only one left waiting. Finally, a gal goes to the mild section, picks up two pieces of chicken fills an order and calls my number. I asked if it was spicy (knowing full well it wasn't) as that is what I ordered, she looks at me in a surprised manner and says no we are out of spicy. No problem, I ask for my money back as I really wanted spicy, she informs me they don’t give refunds, and offers me chicken strips or chicken nuggets. No thanks I respond if I wanted that I would have ordered that, please just give me my money back. She again informs me no refunds; I mean it’s not like I’m returning chicken I just want what I ordered or my money back. Anyway, I’m hungry so I relent and go with the mild but I don’t like white meat so I point out to her I’ll take the mild but I still want dark meat and what she gave me was 1 leg and a breast. She promptly puts two wings in my tray and says there! I point out that wings are still white meat, she calls the manager who consults a chart, then politely and firmly informs me chicken wings are dark meat. I disagree but she is firm and politely smiles and say they have given me what I ordered so what is the problem? Realizing the futility of not being able to get what I ordered or my money back I leave. I will give Popeye's an A for politeness and courtesy as they continuously tried to deceive me and not give me what I ordered, but most assuredly a failing grade F for not knowing the difference between white and dark meat on a chicken, failing to refund my money when they could not fill my order and in short failing miserable to satisfy this customer’s order…no stars here Dang...can't even post unless you give them a star...sure does bias the reviews in their favor even when they don't...
Read moreBEWARE! I went here to stop and eat after a long day of work. Stoped in at 9:15. They said they weren’t making anymore chicken because they don’t want to waist any so I worked around there chicken situation and found some food I’d eat. Little did I know this was just the beginning. I noticed a guy in the back using bare hands to prep and make food…. I then overheard them talking bad about me and my friends for coming in close to closing (9:15 45 min before closing) so I asked to speak to the manager. Oh boy was I in for a treat. Turns out the guy cross contaminating and cooking with bare hands was the manager. He came up and acted like my 5 year old son saying he didn’t do anything and rolled his eyes. I called him out and he was very very aggressive and wouldn’t talk to me like a manager should. I just wanted some clarification on while they wouldn’t make more chicken 45 min before closing and he couldn’t even do that. I’m going to be making a report with photo and video proof of him cooking with bare hands. Other employees also told us he thinks it’s because the germs are cooked in the process. Does this guy need to go back to kindergarten? I asked for owners name and he was hesitant to give it to me. I found it online tho. I’d love to get this video proof to the owner sam. Read moreI just visited this location, and I went through the drive through to place a simple order. The employee who was working the window was not very kind, but I didn’t think too much of it. Once we had already gotten home with our food, mind you, Im a five minute drive from Popeyes, give or take. Every single food item we had got was not just slightly warm, it was genuinely cold. You could tell this food had been sitting in their warmers for way way too long. i cannot make this up. So, we called and asked for our food to be remade, to which they were actually kind about and agreed to. So, we went back, to get our fresh food, even though it shouldn’t have never even been not fresh. Once we get there, the employees are being incredibly rude. There was even a lady in front of us who was claiming the same things that my boyfriend and I were. The workers even brought out french fries to my boyfriend that had been sitting in the warmer and said to him “so this isn’t warm enough for you? this isn’t fresh” to which my boyfriend felt the obviously old and soggy fry and said no. After that they gave us our food, but overall I would not come back here. The customer service was so awful, and I hope that they can improve in this aspect (also maybe improve the freshness and quality of the food 👍🏾) I really hate to leave bad reviews, and I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever done so.
