M. H. Bread and Butter — Restaurant in San Anselmo

Food was delicious, fresh. Tasty arugula salad came with the egg sandwich. Coffee was a little bitter, possibly I got the end of a pot.

All that being said my review is a 4/5 mainly because when amongst some confusion while having our meals delivered, our number that signified our order accidentally got returned before we received our last meal. My cousin quite politely inquired about his meal and got a rude response from 2 different employees. What really bothered me was when the 2nd employee felt the need to scold my cousin for not holding onto the number. I understand we were in error but is it so hard to fix the problem without a lecture?

All in all, go to MH bread and butter. Enjoy your coffee. Enjoy your brunch. Do NOT let them take your number before you have every meal...

This use to be a regular stop during our bike rides. Gal at front “greets” guests. I asked is they could do anything on board gluten free, she said yes, the guy at register could help. We wait in line and come to find can only get a slice of cake or 2 cookie options. So I order a spring salad and asked if they could please put the goat cheese on side. He said no, it is their policy. Either mixed in or without. I asked nicely again, and he confirmed that there policy would not even allow on side of plate. It’s not even like I asked for a substitution. So we left and find a lovely place down the road called Tony Tutto Pizza. Very friendly, AND yes they will put even dressing on side and have gluten free option. BIG THUMBS DOWN FOR UNFRIENDLY AND RIDICULOUS...

A decent place if you’re hiking and biking around. Pretty packed around 1130 of a Saturday and you might need to wait for place to sit. Average quality of food, does prefer croissant waffle to my almond butter toast. I’d prefer if they didn’t put the syrup over the slices apples but those are great apples. Decorative strawberries are fresh but sour. Husband didn’t like their matcha latte saying it’s a little bit watery for them, my oat latte is ok but also on the lighter side compared to my Bluebottle regulars. Would love to try out their sandwich menu or other bakeries next time.
