Whether you go in person or are looking up reviews before ordering online. Please, trust me, this place is not worth "giving it a chance." Ordered a pizza and manicotti from here which arrived at the estimated time which is normally a good thing except GrubHub still showed they were working on my order and no one had picked it up. There was just suddenly someone ringing my doorbell with food that fit what I ordered. They also made me think that I ordered from 24th St. Pizza on GrubHub yet what arrived had packaging from a location called The Faktory. It has the same menu options and cheaper prices than what I was charged ordering from "24th St. Pizza". The pizza seemed passable enough but I did not touch the manicotti for fear of ending up either in the restroom for days if not in a hospital. I took a bite out of it that I had to spit because it tasted rancid and then when I smelled it, it smelled sour and off. The smell once unleashed from it's packaging did not lose its pungency and I had to throw it outside before deciding to just make myself something at home. This seems not only like a bad restaurant that should be shut down for health reasons but a scam as none of the process that's supposed to happen when you order delivery, get food, and eat it actually happened without something being inconsistent.

It really doesn't deserve a star at all, very rude cashier. She got mad because I asked for my change, n she got my change out of her purse instead of the register.. Went the second time hoping she wasn't there and she tired to serve me a burnt pizza, I asked for a refund or my food to be made over, she got an attitude and said no refund not my food could be made over, she pretended to call the manager, but called the police on me, lol... The lady that took my order had made me another pizza by the time the police got there. They agreed with me, there was no visual of a no refund or did will not be remade, posted no where nor on they take out menu.... They asked to speak to the manager she pretended to call again, n said he wouldn't answer.... She gone holler at me I'm leaving with my food that was made correct n not burnt from the cashier that took my.."And don't come back", my reply was.... Never will so no worries on that, and told her she needs to learn how to cook, and treat customers.... So I will never return to 24th Grill AGAIN.... Horrible.... IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DOUBLE PEPPERONI... FLIPPED THE CHEESE BACK AND IT WAS NOT EVEN A HANDFUL ON IT... SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.....

How is it even possible that this place has been open over 3yrs and hasn't been shut down by the health inspectors? It was my 1st time here today to pick up an order from TOO GOOD TO GO. First of all, there is absolutely no parking anywhere around the building. I walked in, and there was no one at the counter to greet you. I called out to the back and even peeked thru the kitchen door, and the place was empty. As I looked thru the kitchen door, I saw a disgusting, dirty, and disorganized kitchen. The kitchen equipment was dirty, and the counter where orders are picked up and paid were just as dirty. The dining room was dirty too. The place smells bad, and it looks like it's run by people who have no clue how to run a business. Based on previous reviews, they don't know how to cook. After calling for 3min a young woman who looked dazed and confused, like she had just woken up came out. I told her I was picking up an order. She went to the kitchen and NEVER came back. I waited for 20min before I walked out. After what I experienced, I would NOT be coming back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. There are better pizza places in the city. Do your best to avoid this one!

TLDR: They will over charge your card. They will take HOURS to deliver the pizza. The pizza wont be fully cooked or even edible. I regret not checking reviews before ordering.

The experience: While staying at The Candle Wood Suites I came back to my room to find their menu slid under my door. It was late at night but I figured I’d give them a try since I hadn’t eaten and they took the effort to advertise here. The Menu had large specialty pizzas for $15.99 but there was a coupon on the bottom of the menus for $12.99. I thought, “that’s not a bad price even if the pizza isn’t great,” so I called to place my order at 10:51pm. There was a lot of background noise when they answered the phone and I was put on hold for a few minutes. I had waited on hold for so long I considered just hanging up, and I wish I would have, but it was a Saturday night and I assumed a long wait meant they were a popular pizza spot. When they finally came back on the phone I told the girl I got a menu with a coupon at my hotel and that I’d like to order a large speciality pizza for the $12.99 deal. She took my payment info and said it would be there within the hour. It was almost 11:00pm so I was expecting up to an hour wait time. The restaurant was 10 minutes away according to google maps and I factured in at least a 30 minute baking time and a little more for prep so I considered that acceptable for a smaller pizza place. 12:00am came and no pizza. I gave them an extra 30 minutes before deciding to call and check on the status and at 12:30am I was told the driver was on his way and would be there any second. I finally get a knock on the door at 12:50, almost two full hours after my order was placed and the driver gave me a credit card receipt for $22.00 and apologized for not having a pen for me to sign. I showed him the coupon and he appologized and said he was going to get it taken care of as soon as he got back. I had cash and was initially going to tip him $10 thinking I was getting a good discount on a pizza with the coupon but after waiting 2 hours and being overcharged I just couldn’t bring myself to give any more money to this establishment. As of this morning my credit card is still showing $22.00 and I’ll probably call to dispute the charge.

The Pizza: I was hoping the pizza would save the experience but when I went to grab a slice out it broke off 1/4 of the way from the crust. The entire center of the pizza was doughy and stuck to the box. It was very undercooked , the cheese wasn’t even fully melted, and I suspect they didn’t even “make” my pizza until I called at 12:30 and then rushed one over. I suspect they prey on short term guests at hotels and try to take advantage of people ordering later at night hopeing they will fall asleep before their food would arrive and make extra money by overcharging.

Avoid this place...

0.00 star review... This place is a complete dump run by criminal scum bags... I had the single worst restaurant experience I've ever had by far with these people. Where to start... We ordered from their menu flyer, the deal said gyro sandwich with fries and a drink for $8.99... we ordered 3 of these deals and a salad for delivery at 11:04pm... The driver finally arrived at around 12:35am... They gave us the 3 sandwiches with 3 bags of lays chips... No fries, no drinks, no salad... I called the restaurant and they apologized and said they would send us some fries and the salad asap, to expect it delivered in about 15 minutes... So we waited and waited for another 45 minutes and I called them back... The guy who answered said he was just the driver and that he would look into it with the cook... Then hung up on me... I called back, they hung up on me again... This happened like 2 more times... I then checked my bank account and saw that they charged my card $47... The total should have been $35 or less... Absolutely furious at this point, I decided to drive there and chew these a holes out... I called them again on the way, and was hung up on for a 5th and 6th time... The restaurant was supposed to be open until 2:30 a.m. but when I arrived the door was locked... I could see two people sitting inside one of which gave me the gesture signifying that they are closed... I yelled through the door that I was charged $47 to my card and only was delivered 3 cold gyro sandwiches... Both men gave me an incredulous and dismissive shrug and both claimed to be just drivers even though the fat old man was just counting money at the table with paperwork in front of him... Completely outraged, I was yelling that I was going to call the police unless they made this right... They still refused to even open the door to talk to me so I actually did call the police and told them that I wanted to report a theft... Finally the fat old man opened the door and said "sir here is $40.." handing me two 20s... I told him that I was charged $47 to my card and I should get a full refund for this insanity... but I told the police dispatcher that I no longer required police assistance and I begrudgingly accepted the $40 cash... It was by far the single worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life hands down bar none... This place is a criminal operation and should be shut down the food was cold and disappointing... This has got to be the worst restaurant in San Antonio save yourself the hassle and order...

I should have read the reviews first! This place is awful. I'm visiting San Antonio for the week and it's late on a Friday night. Decided to give this place a try. I ordered a 3 meat calzone with fries, an 8 piece order of lemon pepper wings and a slice of caramel fudge cheesecake. An hour and a half later, I get a calzone that was burnt on top, undercooked in the middle and unseasoned, soggy, unseasoned fries and some plain "cheesecake" that they put in the bag with the fries so it was hot and looked melted. All of it tasted horribly and ended up in the trash. Oh, and instead of wings, I received someone else's pizza. I called the restaurant back (I had to call 6 times from 2 different phones before someone answered) to tell them I received a pizza instead of the wings I ordered. Now, almost 2 hours since then, I STILL don't have my wings and I don't want them. WORST food and WORST service ever. Do not waste your time or money.

UPDATE I drove to the restaurant to get my money back. Robert (who claims he was not on the clock but only there to help out) offered to make my meal over again, but if it was garbage the first time then I certainly don't want a second order. I said no - just give me my money back. He says he will make my same order "perfectly" and also make me an order of my choosing tomorrow, but he didn't have the authority to refund my $30. So, he had the authority to waste another $60 in food but not to refund my money?? Ok. Plus, the place is FILTHY. Robert is sweating, wiping his head with his bare hands and telling me how he's helping to do everyone's job. He then proceeds to tell me how busy the restaurant is and how 14 people including all of the cooks and cashiers are out doing deliveries. What kind of business practice is that?? I then asked for the manager's name because the conversation with Robert was getting absurd. He tells me "Mike Jones." At this point, I am too through. He says he will have the manager call me tomorrow, but I told him I'll just be back up there and make sure I voice my concerns right in the middle of the store where all of the [potential] customers can hear. This place needs to be shut down. The establishment is disgusting, service is subpar, the food is atrocious and the audacity of this Robert to argue me down about this piss poor excuse of a restaurant just...
