bellagreen American Bistro — Restaurant in San Antonio

WILL COME AGAIN!….and AGAIN!! (And again! 🤣).

Bellagreen is an absolute gem! I am so glad we stumbled upon this place. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the staff provided top-notch customer service and made us feel completely welcomed. Cristian and Flor specifically greeted us but we could see the chefs in the kitchen and how they interacted with each other. They took the time to thoroughly explain the menu and share their fabulous happy hour specials, which include 50% off appetizers and bottles of wine—such a treat!

The food runners were so nice too. They kept checking to make sure we had everything we needed which was nice. As for the food—wow! It was absolutely fabulous. Every bite was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The prices were incredibly reasonable considering the exceptional high-quality ingredients and beautiful presentation.

We were so impressed that we ended up staying longer, enjoying extra food and beverages simply because the people were so warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Bella Green also stands out for their thoughtful approach to accommodating dietary needs, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or have other food allergies.

We highly recommend Bellagreen for anyone looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and great value.

(I will warn you it did seem a little bit confusing and hard to find it first, and there’s a lot of scaffolding out front, which might turn you off. But you won’t regret walking through...

My friends and I had first eaten at bellagreen in Houston last year and the food was so good there, we all voted (unanimously) to go back the next night (our second and last night in Houston). Since then, my friends and I have hounded bellagreen's Instagram, asking them when they were going to open a San Antonio location. The time finally came when this location opened up, and just in time to celebrate my birthday. All this to say, we all went in with pretty high expectations. I'm so happy to say that those expectations were more than met! Not only did everyone love their food, but the staff were friendly and helpful. We have dietary restrictions in our group (gluten free/celiac, vegetarian, etc.), and there were plenty of options for everyone on the menu. Staff was knowledgeable and I (the celiac) felt safe eating there. The location is a little far from me, but hopefully more locations open up around SA. Even if they don't, we will definitely be going back. Thank you bellagreen for a wonderful birthday!

(The only reason I put 4 stars for atmosphere is because the outside of the building is still surrounded in construction scaffolding, and free parking was difficult to come by--my friends walked from the Pearl area. I used to frequent the Bellagreen in Dallas for brunch and dinner and I would always get the same brunch plate or the Fig and Pig pizza. Here, I got the same things, but they were noticibly different. We waited roughly 25 minutes from ordering to get our food at the table. Then our food was warm but not even warm enough for the pancakes to melt the butter. For the breakfast plate, the Dallas location always had two pancakes, very small O'Brian potatoes, and fruit on the pancakes. This location had one slightly burnt pancake, large potatoes, and no fruit. The fig and pig pizza was good, but the one in Dallas isn't spicy, whereas this one was. It just didn't live up to my expectations of the other location I came to love, but waiting for a long time aside,...
