Went a few weeks ago with a couple friends at 11 pm on a Sunday night. The bar was not packed at all however the red headed bartender seemed very irritated that paying customers had shown up and she had to leave her group of friends and put her shot down to come ask us what we wanted. We asked for a couple of drinks off the drink specials that were displayed. She told us those were yesterday's drink specials that she hadn't had time to take down and couldn't honor those ( again this is at 11 at night, don't know why there wasn't any time to erase a dry erase board?) So we asked about a couple prices on drinks and placed our orders. When she came back with out drinks, she told us the price had changed, we immediately objected and she reluctantly said she would honor the price (which she had just given us 3 minutes earlier) for this one drink only. She seemed really annoyed and little drunk at this point. She let one of my friends know that backwards hats were not allowed, he was completely fine with that and took his hat all the way off right away. She then went back over to her group of friends. Some of them were wearing backwards hats and we asked why it was ok for them to wear it, she told us it was none of our business. We don't mention it again and continue our conversation and finish our drinks. SHe never once came back to us to see if we would like another drink so we decided we weren't welcome there, only her friends were. We left to go across the street to Pirates Tavern. When we were leaving a man was coming up to the bar and asked us who was bartending, we told him some red headed lady. He said "OH NO" and turned right around and went across the street to pirates tavern with us who seemed very welcoming to paying customers when we came in. Guess that bartender is not known for her "stellar service". This bar used to be fun years ago, but that bartender was so unnecessarily rude that i don't ever see me going back. Since then I have talked to several people who have said the same things about this...
Read moreAfter ordering decent level whiskey drinks and beer on tap, tab would have constituted a really good tip, especially since I've been in the service industry and know how valuable they are. Angie hung out and talked to her girlfriend at the bar ignoring us walking up to the bar. We sat there for ten minutes in an empty bar(save Angie's gf). If this business wants more business I know where they should look. Hire and fire. Terrible service. Bartender looked right at us and went on talking to friend about guy trouble. Finally had to ask someone who walked in if they knew her name since she didn't answer when I said 'miss? Excuse me?' We wanted a makers mark and an old fashioned. They rudely explained how they had nothing to create either. They also couldn't make the special 'bull blaster' of the night. Bartender was outside smoking more...
