Went at 1am. Love Whataburger at 1am - taquitos and biscuits and gravy. I guess I’ve spent several thousand dollars there over the years.
But NOT tonight. Horrible service from employee John Wick. I’ve NEVER had bad service at Whataburger until tonight. ZERO personality. Acted like he hated having to serve people (I cannot express how much I hate giving money to someone who treats me with a loathsome attitude). This horrible attitude was demonstrated in the order.
Got home with taquitos. NO PICANTE. He didn’t offer any. So bc I, the customer, didn’t think to ask for the appropriate condiments, I had a crappy meal (the Whataburger picante is known to be excellent and awesome).
No utensils. No napkins. It’s up to me!
This Whataburger, you are on your own you better know exactly what you wanna get and ask for everything bc the employees don’t care.
And - I had to go and ASK for my order bc they never bothered to yell it out or bring it (I was sitting in front of the register). When I asked, the guy laughed and brought it to me and said it had been sitting back there a while.
Which explains why the eggs were dry as sand when I got home.
I am a lifelong Whataburger fan (60 + years). This was my first bad experience. I will hit Taco Pelenque or Taco Bell for late nights at the Rim.
Which is sad bc whataburger is my go to. Seriously if it wasn’t 1:30am when I got home I would have gone back...
Read moreOrdered a meal and noticed that the young kid making everyones sandwich wasn't wearing any gloves. He is grabbing lettuce with his hands, tomatoes, bread, touching computer and pressing buttons on screen then condiment bottles and paper wrap all with his bare hands. I was disgusted and was almost going to let it go but it made me cringe too much. I asked him if he can put gloves on before making my meal and he answered, What. So manager came up and asked if everything was ok. I said no and explained what was happening. He then told the kid to wash his hands and put gloves, so he did then made my meal. Ok now I'm satisfied a little but still on edge. When I sat down with my buddy I was having lunch with I told him what just happened. When I turned around to point out the kid making sandwiches to my surprise he already 30 seconds after making my meal took his gloves off and kept working bare handed.... two words Whataburger, disgusting and unsanitary. I'm here on vacation from Florida and remembered we used to have a Whataburger there and how good it was. Never again Whataburger. Oh and my buddy ended up sick later on that evening with Whataburger being the last thing he consumed before vomiting everything he ate. People please beware of this location even tho they ruined every...
Read moreUpdate 5 November 2023 There's an older black guy who works there during the afternoon who's customer service skills are outstanding! He's kind, attentive and present for the customer! When he took my order as a walk in customer he listened, got it correct and repeated it back to me, again getting everything correct! When he brought the order to me he checked it to make sure it was correct and asked me if I needed anything else like ketchup, etc!
(7 months ago) Service is poor for walk in customers! Most of the energy is put into the drive-through. The fries were over cooked, hard and without much flavor! Large cups are very flimsy, felt like it was going to collapse in hand and lid didn’t fit tight. The upside, food comes with complimentary hair!
In conclusion it’s evident that the employees who work here are just vacancy fillers! They take no pride in producing a quality product, nor in building a loyal clientele! This restaurant survives on continual set of new customers as it’s next to the I-10 so there’s and endless supply of first timers! They just hurriedly do what they have to to get through each order and out the door end of shift! Nominal effort is the standard fare here. I’m marking it as “bad” on Google maps so I avoid it...
