Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in San Antonio

Had the worst experience at this location and was surprised at the lack of customer service and attitude displayed by the young lady who answered my call to voice my displeasure. Instead of being apologetic and insisting on replacing my order. I was told there was not a manager available until tomorrow and she would not be able to take any calls. I said I paid for a 3pc all white and was given a a wing, breast and thigh. She was very curt and combative as if I did something wrong. She ARGUED that I was wrong and that I mistook the thigh and that she insisted she packed the pieces herself. I asked to have total order be replaced fresh since I had to return for their error. She said bring it back but it would be 20 minutes to replace fresh. I drove back and she again was combative and said she would have to drop fries and jalapeño poppers and replace the three pieces with what was available. Waited and finally received my food, she again was argumentative that I mistakenly identified the said piece as a thigh and that it was a breast. Still no apology and defiant that I being a fifty one year old man who has worked in the food industry did not know what I was talking about. I thanked her and left. I will never give this location my hard earned money or business as long as they have people like that representing your company. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my recent visit to this Church's Chicken location on April 9th, 2025 after 3 pm. The overall experience was appalling, horrible, deserving zero stars. The restaurant's interior and exterior were filthy, nasty, with crumbs covering every table, trash on the floor, and contaminated cooking oil, resulting in subpar chicken. The Health department should pay them a visit. Because the chicken served was stale, overcooked, and had a burnt taste. The chicken was real dark, I mean darker than my butt hole. Its hardness was also notable, you can literally knock someone out with that drumstick. Furthermore, the chicken tenders I ordered were remarkably small, no larger than my thumb. When I questioned the staff about the size, they cited a new brand or whatever. I proposed combining two small tenders as one serving, but the staff failed to respond. It seemed like they’re splitting the tenders in half to boost profits because they were also very skinny. They’re almost as small as Mc Donald’s chicken nuggets. I strongly considered requesting a refund and dining elsewhere, but my mother was hesitant due to the location's remote surroundings. this place used to be good. i never had a problem with my order or food. but today the service was really bad. the dining area was not that clean like it used to be. today i ordered some food and they say ok and charge my card. i look at the recipe and it was nothing like what i ordered. i got charged for something i didnt order. i talk to the team lead and explained i didnt order this. and to fix it.. well i wanted 20 pc chicken and they charged me for 12 pc. so the team lead tried to fix it but im not sure if she knew what she was even doing. she told me well we can charge you for four 2 pc chicken meals to make up for it to = 20 pc. well it will cost me more money to do that then just ordering the 20 pc like i wanted in the first place. i was getting so mad because the team lead wanted to charge me for different meal, like add tenders or extra fries to = the same price for the 20 pc family meal. so i was going to be charged for something she was not going to give me. i then was more mad and asked for a refund because i was already fed up and was going to go somewhere else. then she tells me.... " Well we under new management" i can see that because the service sucks.. then she says it will take about 1 hour for the manager to come in to refund you.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!
