First time here. Saw the reviews and me and my wife got excited to try it out. Service was absolutely awful. No one seemed to know what was going on.
Ordered our food along with a black coffee and iced tea. Took our number and sat down. After 10 minutes I asked about the black drip coffee and iced tea we ordered as we were thirsty. Someone said it would be out. Waited another 25 minutes and the black coffee finally got brought to me. I stated I was not interested and would like a refund.
Our food literally came and we finished it before we got the black coffee š.
The staff was polite but man they just didnāt seem to know what was going on. When we got our food I had paid for cream cheese on the side. Nope. I had to walk over to the kitchen and ask someone for cream cheese. All while I could hear the kitchen employees say āhe needs to pay for itā then another employee stated āhe already paid for itā⦠𤣠then for some reason the cream cheese was sweetened with sugar⦠I kid you not the cream cheese tasted like they intentionally threw a bunch of sugar and mixed it up š
After we ate I went up and asked for the refund. They stated they would need to recharge me for the entire order for the refund ššš Iām like whatever thatās fine. What am I supposed to say? If that was me I would have pulled 3$ out of the cash drawer and gave it to my customer and apologized for a cup of drip coffee taking 35 minutes to get to their table.
Only part of the food that was really good was the croissant. Honestly a really good butter croissant.
I asked for the side of potatoes to be crispy and they came out like the kitchen staff chopped them up into squares and fried them for 15 seconds and served them to me. The potatoes were hard and almost raw.
Disappointing overall experience as the bill for a cup of coffee an iced tea one croissant sandwich kids egg meal was $50.
Cant believe it took 35 minutes to bring me a drip coffee!! Then to get a refund got charged twice! Awful experience.
Iām not trying to persuade anyone to not come here. Please do the food was decent. Wish I could have enjoyed some of their coffee. But the service...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreUgh... I want to like this place SO bad. The place is adorable, the food is alright, the ambiance is refreshing. But I just can't look past the poor customer service and communication BOTH TIMES we went here. We were visiting San Antonio for the weekend, stopped in Saturday morning for brunch. We ordered two coffees, avocado toast (pictured) and a ham and cheese croissant. We waited for the coffees up front; one of the workers let us know that we could have a seat and the food would be brought out to us when it was ready. After 45 minutes of waiting and having some avoided eye contact by the runner, I figured there was a mixup. No big deal, it happens, right? But it took me walking inside, waiting at the register and starting to explain the issue when one of the employees already knew what had happened! Not sure why it couldn't have been resolved. The food was brought out soon after looking a little worse for the wear.
ANYWAY, we decided to give the place another shot on Monday morning for brunch. A little less busy, but still a good chunk of people working outside enjoying their coffees. We order the exact same thing, get our coffees and head outside to wait. 15 minutes goes by, then 20, then 30 - my wife and I start joking that they remembered us and did it on purpose. I walked inside to discuss the problem, but the same employee cut me off to let me know he already knew our order. So I simply ask to take it to go, because at this point we have a flight to catch. Not even two minutes later, the food is brought out to us in to-go containers. How???
I want to like this place so badddd but I just couldn't believe that happened twice, both times we went. And when my wife bit into the croissant, she said it was room temp. Not sure if the communication is just poor or this was some kind of joke on us, but either way, the place needs better communication. Maybe a number system would be best.
If you're in a hurry,...
