One of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had at a DQ. Sister in law was in the vehicle ahead of us in the drive thru, just trying to get some ice cream bars for her small children, but was never spoken to through the speakers; instead, the manager saw her & waved her to pull forward. Once our vehicle behind SIL's pulled up, the manager was messing up the order we were trying to make with her & we kept having to repeat ourselves again & again. Finally, after 30 minutes in the drive thru, SIL pulls up, only to be told "You didn't place an order & I'm not going to make one for you! I have other orders ahead of you!" Well of course you have orders ahead of her, you TOLD HER to pull up & didn't take the order, so she was skipped over, because of YOU! SIL simply said, "Look, you don't have to make anything, just 2 (ready to go) dilly bars & I'll call it good." Manager still refused her & told her to get to the back of the line & order. So, SIL called us & told us what happened. When we pulled up, manager tried acting like SIL simply pulled in & didn't place an order, when she was stuck at the drive thru speaker for 20 minutes & the manager should've taken her order then, instead of waving her up (probably did that on purpose to shrink her line down). We had placed an order for 4 blizzards, a sundae & extra stuff, but if you're going to treat someone like how you did to my SIL, then you can enjoy making those to melt. We drove away after the manager tried to pull a pity party for herself & tried to blame the SIL, who by the way was polite the entire time the manager was berating her. So, you made a car full of kids cry to shrink your line down; hope you're happy with yourself. Also, called corporate & I don't care if this is franchised, it is still a DQ & the name Dairy Queen is still subject to bare any negative behavior an employee exhibits. Do....
Read moreThis is the worst DQ location ever. I don't expect the best service in a drive-thru cause I understand how hard and hectic it can be, but the service here is the worst. There was only one car at the window and then me at the drive-thru speaker with no one behind me. I was ordering for a family of 5, and they seemed to get increasingly annoyed the more I ordered. I forgot my daughter's ice cream, so I added it at the window. When I said, "I hate to do this, but could I add an ice cream?" The person at the window immediately stormed off with an "I can't do this" type attitude and had someone else add it to the order and completely take over. They messed up on everything. I ordered a strawberry cheesecake blizzard, they gave me a strawberry chocolate. The kid's drinks were wrong and tasted old. The kid's grilled cheese wasn't melted and had two pieces of cold cheese in the middle. The burger was messy and had most of the toppings on the outside, and it looked like someone stepped on it. The other burger didn't have the extra cheese I ordered and paid for. I got 2 Dr. Peppers and 1 Diet Coke, and they didn't press "diet" on any of the lids, so I had to guess which one was which. The burgers were so bad that no one could eat them. This could be a reoccurring thing at this location, but I personally feel like they got annoyed with my ordering so much and took it out...
Read moreThis is usually my "go-to" Dairy Queen, but not on this day. I ordered the 6-piece chicken basket & was very disappointed in the quality and size of the chicken tenders. They were small, the breading was hard, and after removing the breading, there was very little edible chicken left. Because I bought this meal to split with my daughter, the disappointing quality also left me somewhat hungry afterward. In the future, I would like to see an additional tender or two included in the meal when the pieces are super small like this.
I also ordered a side of onion rings on this trip (they wouldn't allow me to substitute the fries), and they were gross! The breading was uncooked on several and those had to be thrown away.
Noteworthy: Their "large" drink is the same size as the "medium" drink at other Dairy Queens in the area. I asked the young lady at the window about it, and she confirmed she had given me a "large" (she told me all meals came with a large drink) and proceeded to show me a medium drink cup size, which was super-small. (I still feel like she gave me a medium drink and showed me a small cup when asked.)
Overall, my trip to this DQ not only left me disappointed and hungry, but I also...
