Delicious Tamales — Restaurant in San Antonio

I would have given 5 but counter help twice has been not so friendly. As far as flavor i give them a 5 star. My mom worked at a tamale shop and I can say this place is the best so far in San Antonio that I have tasted. I read all reviews and no these are not my moms or your grandmas but it’s an alternative. Of course we all want our families cooking and think we had better but don’t be harsh on the reviews unless its something worth saying. If the flavor is good but size could be better than say that don’t just give 2 stars for size. I was not so fond of the tomatillo with chicken that does need more flavor. The bean i would prefer with mozzarella cheese but still good. The Pork was excellent and finally the texture of the masa was on point and not dry at all. The lady at the counter’s attitude was somehow even worse than her teeth. Horrible customer service. We placed an order a few weeks ago and were told to pick up at 2pm today. We showed up at 2pm on the dot and the rude woman told us we were two hours late. Apparently, she said “they called everyone” and told them to pick up at noon. I never received a call or else I would have absolutely showed up earlier. The fact that the lady felt the need to push her disgusting attitude on us, is ridiculous. Even worse, she threatened to not let us pick up the order without the confirmation number, which we clearly had (along with the 2pm pickup time instructions)

She then proceeded to get mad at us because she had to “clean up this entire store” as if we were bothering her by ordering tamales from a place called Delicious Tamales. Just flat out rude and disrespectful...

Ordered half a dozen chicken and jalapeno and half a dozen jalapeño and cheese. We sat down to eat there. Was super excited to try the jalapeño and cheese. Open the foil and everyone gets a tamale try and take it out of the husk and they are raw masa. Disgusting! Take them back the cashier says we only gave them back 4 (we put them ALL back into the foil) so we gave her one of the chicken and jalapeno tamales and she gives us 5 chicken and jalapeno tamales. We tried to eat those tamales and they were half raw masa. Between 3 people and 12 tamales we each probably ate 2 tamales yet paid $8.50 for 6 disgusting tamales. And to have that cashier say we were trying to cheat them out of those disgusting...
