Visiting my family, I attended service here because this is their church home. I'm not a believer but I can spend an hour in the house of my family's God because it's still time with my family; and this is a part of their life and I want to see that. (FWIW: the 11 a.m. service is 2hrs, which my fam failed to tell me ahead of time.) I left church a long time ago, mostly because of the people involved (I'm looking at you, Christians). I know what church should look and sound like. The television-studio (multiple cameramen, boom-mounted camera, etc.) all felt over-the-top but whatever floats your boat, right? Nothing "unChristian" about high production value, right? The choir was great. They were deeply engaged and sounded good. One woman in particular was really feeling the spirit, or putting on a really good show. I couldn't tell, and it doesn't matter. I liked watching her groove to the songs they sang. They even had a horns section in addition to other band ensembles. They did the usual marketing of their various classes, programs and vacation bible school that preachers and choir directors do while they still have our attention just before the boring lecture, er sorry, sermon begins. Some folk are turned off by the "selling" but really, what do you expect and who cares, it IS a business, afterall. BUT LET ME TELL YOU....this was no boring lecture. This was no boring sermon. It was hate-filled and politically driven. Somebody in the audience was even moved by the Holy Spirit to exclaim "Go Trump!" or something like that when Pastor Jr. said something hateful about some group. I wasn't taking notes, so I can't share specifics but if it weren't for my family whom I was there for, who had VIP seating saved for them, I would have up and left the third time I heard unChristian hate and politics come out....I would have given the first two a pass because I'm reasonable; sometimes things are said in a passionate moment...and the sermon was no-doubt passionate. The third hateful exclamation multiplied likes fish & loaves of bread. It's easy to read this review and think "oh, a non-believer one-starred a fundamentalist church" and dismiss all that I have to say, and I wouldn't fault you for that. But read the other reviews, by actual God-fearing, Jesus-loving Christians who wanted to like Cornerstone Church because their family or friends invited them. Or, the were looking for a new church home...many, not all of course, left feeling the same as I did. I grew up in the Catholic Church and was only ever taught to love my neighbor (regardless their sin (read: lifestyle)) as myself. ALL judging was to be left to God. Period. No qualifications. Christians can and should witness if that's their calling but they should never, never, never judge another. Yet, Preacher Sr. and Preacher Jr. did just that. They are hateful men, who spew a hateful message and deliver political messages to a cheering crowd. With this review, I am sharing a pic that I took before the service (one of several including a selfie, to share with another family member who is also a devout Christian to show them "everything is bigger in TX" including church. It was a funnier thought before the service) to prove that I was there on June 2, 2024. The selfie I took, I won't share to protect the privacy and identity of my family so they are not punished for my opinion. From all that I have read of this church, my fam surely would receive blowback if they are identified. My final comment on this is that I am most saddened that this is the church they chose for themselves and their children. I don't care they they're Christian and church goers even though I am not. I have my reasons; I'm happy for them that they are still able to "believe" even though it requires blind faith and they're too smart, educated and experienced for that nonsense. I don't pray, but if I did, I would pray that they find a church home that is focused on the Love of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity is prop at Cornerstone Church.

Have been a member of the church for almost two years and there are pros and cons.

First there is no such thing as a perfect church and if people are looking for a perfect church you are never going to find one. Having said that Pastor John and Matt Hagee preach the Bible unapologetically. They make clear the word of God and anyone is welcome in the church as all are sinners and need to hear what the Bible has to say about the love of Jesus Christ and Repentance. The choir and praise band are fantastic and you would have a hard time finding better anywhere else.

There is a great children’s ministry lead by Pastor Brett. He is outgoing and keeps the children engaged in learning what the word of God has to say. Having said this I do have some concerns as well.

My oldest daughter went to the teen ministry and has since refused to return instead sitting with her mother and I during the service. When I asked her why she didn’t want to go to teen service she said she didn’t feel welcomed and no one to include the staff welcomed her to the group. I found this very disturbing that even the staff didn’t greet her. This leads to my second point.

The church has over 20,000 members which is great so many are coming to hear the word of God but if you are looking to get to know people to include the Pastors you may have a difficult time. My wife and I never see the same people twice and although there are opportunities to do events with members these are during the week so if you work as my wife and I do you are out of luck. There are dinners every Sunday evening but the Pastors never attend and instead have the kitchen staff serve them in a family room that is for them and their group only.

Finally, the church often promotes their school Corner Stone Christian School and my wife and I toured the facility in part for our children who we want to be surrounded by Christian peers. The school is magnificent and would be great for any child to attend assuming you want to pay $10,000 per year per child. There are discounts such as being a church member, volunteer service, etc... but even with these discounts after uniform purchase depending on the number of children you have you still are looking at close to $9000 a year per child. This school is for people whom are higher income earners and the fact the school encourages people to take out a loan to pay for this school is not Biblical...

If "a Pastor should be a man of one wife and his house in order" how did John Hagee get to be a pastor? His preaching is good but things arent in one accord with what the Apostle Paul taught us!

There is too much sin on the platform in Cornerstone Church, as John Bevere once said to a similar Church. I think its time for a change because thats the kind of people they attract to Cornerstone Church and they have no intent of repenting but Cornerstone collects the tithe then leaves them to waller in their sin. John will be held accountable one day by God for not doing his job.

Start by giving the microphone to John's eldest son so he can tell how he felt when his dad separated from the family. Ask why he was not heir to Johns ministry being the eldest son. Wecare tired of Platitudes. We need solid food and Matt doesnt get it. Matt was laughing at a sign someone had "Trespassers will be shot and survivors shot again." Not Christian! I cant believe he said that on TV. Im sure your elder brother could do better than that Matt. You need to stop hanging around with those kind of people Matt!

I've never been in any Church where people are in adultery as much as Cornerstone attendees are. God will judge the Hagees because they know it and ignore it as long as the tithe money flows in.

Matthew's ministry is illegitimate and he preaches in platitudes with an arrogance and without guidance from the Holy Spirit. Cornerstone continues to grow more Adultery Oriented and is Adultery Heaven for those sinners that want to believe they are saved. Hagees will be judged by God for promoting this agenda.

The Gospel of Cornerstone Church is not the Gospel you know and read in your Bible. Their interpritation is not the Narrow Wau because if the unchecked sin that is there.

God is about to pronounce a cutse on Cornerstone zchurch and JHM because they abandoned the down trodden and protect the ungodly sinners that depress Gods chosen ones. Sin prevails so bad that men have other mens wives and because John Hagee had sex with his secretary he will not rebuke and reproof these multitudes for doing what he did. Cornerstone will cease to rxist if God is God so...
