I am so please that I was recommended to this office as well to Dr. Allison Young. The office and the personal are professional and cheerful. I have Sjögren’s Syndrome which drys everything in your body. I honestly though I was going blind and I was seeing another ophthalmologist in a huge chain operation and it seems like I was going in every three months. I honestly couldn’t see. Dr Young saw me on the first visit and explained that I had a very large cataract in my right eye and it needed to be removed. I was extremely petrified but Dr. Young has the type of additive you want every Doctor to have. It was such an easy operation for me, Dr. Young said that it was so big it took her awhile to get it out. The difference was amazing I see amazing I was so amazed how little I was seeing before. So excited to get the other eye done. The after care was just as through as the pre-op. I recommend this Ophthalmology Center and Dr. Young.
Today is January 8th of 2021 and the day before this I had a very gritty feeling in my right eye when I woke up. Just thinking it was my Sjogren's I put in the eye drops and it helped but I had double vision for the day. Knowing I could call Stone Oak Ophthalmology and find out if I need to see a Dr or just find out what I could do. They wanted to get me in but I live a across town and they got me an appointment right away the next day. I saw Dr. Whitney and just like Dr. Young, she took her time took the tests (she explained each test and her reason for taking them) and ended up finding out that I had Shingles in my right eye. I was then told it was a very good thing that I came in because it could be worse the longer you wait. I trust this office and my eye health whole heartily. I have always been treated with respect, professionalism, COVID responsible and I know my appointment was done to it's fullest to help both of us to understand what is happening with my eyes. Again I was afraid my eyesight was going to be gone and I have walked in there and them out knowing everything was being done that could be done. I also got to meet another one of these wonderful Doctors. Thank you Dr. Whitney, I'm not thrilled with having Shingles but thank you for informing me that getting the Shingles Shot is not a 100% it just makes it less infectious. I maybe miserable but it could of been a lot worse with out your insisting we do the testing and your hands on care it could be worse. If you are someone who needs an Ophthalmologist this is the...
Read moreAbsolutely the WORST WORST WORST customer service I have EVER seen. The staff is unbelievably rude. I had called ahead of my apt and gave all my insurance info. I asked that they could verify my insurance would cover my apt. When I got there the receptionist was completely clueless and had to verify all over again. The staff would rather chit chat with each other than than work. As a patient, a customer, I was left sitting in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hrs after my apt. without anything said to me at all. The whole time the staff was talking with each other and goofing around. I was the only patient in the waiting room. This all occurred after they called me earlier and moved my apt back an hour. When I finally approached reception, clearly upset, they said someone would be right with me, as if I was inconveniencing them. As for the doctor, she came in and was right to business. She had no concern or interest in the way her staff treated me. I was told to call and schedule the procedure if I elected to have it done. I called and set the date but was told that someone would get back to me in about a week with surgery details and a time. A week before the surgery, I still had not heard from anyone. I called and told them that I had a date but nobody had called me with any specific info. The lady I talked to had the nerve to say " Like what do you need to know?" ?!?!?!???!! How about a time to arrive for surgery? pre-op instructions? what you charge? I cancelled my apt and never went back. I did however receive a bill due to a billing department error. When I called to resolve it, I was again treated horribly! Very rude and unprofessional. I have never written a review before, but experiences like this need to be shared to...
Read moreUnprofessional, Uncourteous experience with staff: Lina front desk hung up on my transfer she offered, Kathryn actually transferred me; somewhere, Veronica, uncertain if she's even the OM was unprofessional, and someone in Billing who wouldn't give their name, but gave zero help to my questions as a new patient also rudely spoke over me. My eye care is my priority, thought it would be there's too, but when you're going to be a new patient and the treatment over the phone is below zero, why would you come to this office. Not sure if the Dr.'s read these reviews, but if so Dr. Young came highly recommended, but I was told I couldn't see her , had to see another Dr. I called to ask questions as a new patient about my appt a day early, to go over my insurance verification information, to be prepared, told it wasn't done, yet, etc and no one could help me. The rude tone over the phone isn't something anyone should tolerate. Maybe they're having trouble finding professional staff. I told Lina to cancel my appt as a new patient and to transfer me to the OM, and she hung up on me. Doubt it was accidental since she was rude. Someone who said they were the OM called me back and really sounded unprofessional and I didn't feel that they were sincere, or authentically who they said they were, with how I was spoken to it felt like no one was helpful, or honest. Unfortunate that politeness and professionalism can't be taught. I don't feel comfortable bringing my eye care to this office even if the doctors are so great. No response to my post will matter since the experience was enough for me to just go elsewhere. After reading other negative experiences on this feed, I'm not surprised at how the...
