We walked into PoPo Pizzeria on Mother’s Day at 3:15 PM—a time when the restaurant was more than halfway empty. Despite this, a man behind the counter took one look at our family and immediately said, “Just so you know, it’s going to be at least an hour wait.” A woman behind him echoed the same thing. No greeting. No attempt to accommodate. Just a bizarre and dismissive warning. We decided to leave as we were clearly not welcomed.
What made this especially confusing (and frankly infuriating) was the sheer number of open tables in plain sight. It truly felt like they didn’t want us there. It’s hard not to notice when something feels off. I don’t throw around accusations lightly, but the energy here was very discriminating.
As business owners ourselves, I cannot understand the logic behind turning away paying customers—especially on a holiday. We had never eaten here before and, thanks to this experience, never will.
The owner of this business needs to be made aware of how their staff is destroying opportunities to build loyal customers. Turning away families on a holiday, with no explanation other than an obviously untrue “hour wait,” reflects poorly on the business as a whole. These are the kind of moments that leave lasting impressions and this one was all negative.
I’ve attached a photo showing just how “busy” they were. You tell me if that looks like...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at popo’s , and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor that set the perfect mood for a wonderful meal. Now, let's talk about the food! I started with the Caprese , which was a delightful introduction to the meal-perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. For the main course, I chose the Regina Margherita, and it was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were vibrant, and the portion size was just right. I couldn't resist trying dessert, and the tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending to my meal; it was simply divine! The service was impeccable; our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed while also providing great recommendations from the menu. Overall, my experience at popo’s was exceptional, and I can't wait to return. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and excellent service, I highly recommend checking this place out! Thank you, popo’s , for a...
Read moreDecide to take family here on a whim. Service was great and the place felt very cozy. The wife and I ordered the trio plate which is $28 each. This should include lasagna, alfredo and chicken parm. When food arrived it looked like they got 1 piece of lasagna and chicken parm and cut them in half and put each on our plates. For $28 it feels completely overpriced for half a lasagna, half a chicken parm and small portion of alfredo. Lastly, both my wife and my lasagna had full pieces of bay leaves baked into the lasagna. This is not edible at all. For the price, this was a complete waste and honestly left a really bad impression. Aside from the price, I was not a fan of the Lasanga. The alfredo sauce had a unique taste, not bad just unique. The pizza was decent and bread was well made. The chicken parm, well it was like 4 bites because I only received a small piece, but it was standard breaded chicken...nothing crazy. All in all, was not a great experience and when trying to take my family out for a nice night, things like this can really put a damper on...
