When I moved from northern NJ to San Antonio, I was depressed and hopeless. My pizza craving was never satisfied because I could only find sub par chain restaurants, or I'd have to pay an arm and a leg for high quality but small portions and long waits. I then bought a bread machine and tried making my own pizza from scratch, but this was too time consuming and my lack of pizza-making skills and brick oven drove me into an even deeper despondency. I thought about moving back to NJ but then quickly thought better about that idea. Then someone told me about Florio's pizza and how they made authentic NY/NJ Italian style pizza. I was skeptical at first, but I had nothing else to lose at that point so decided to give it a shot. I entered the pizza joint and was greeted by welcoming smiles and friendly service. There was an aroma of fresh dough and cheese throughout. I ordered the Florio's special which included sausage, pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, red peppers, and onions. About 10 minutes later, the pizza was made fresh and came out perfectly piping hot. The cheese was perfectly melted. The dough was the perfect thinness and combination of softness and crispness. There was a hint of spicy It was everything I expected of a NY style pizza. My life is completely changed now that I know about Florio's, a true hidden gem right in the heart of San Antonio. I have hope, and I can again satisfy my NY...

Absolutely one of the best pizza places I’ve ever been to, all the ingredients were fresh, the service was fast, and had to be one of the most antique restaurants I’ve ever visited. My boss Jim Gilreath brought us and we had an absolutely great time!

Food: 10/10 The food was SPECTACULAR! It was fresh out of the oven, not greasy, and the right amount of crunch and doughiness! It felt like I was eating at a 5 star pizza place, super hot and amazing! Their subs are also the best in town, I personally recommend the “Cold Cold” absolutely one of the best subs you can buy!

Service: 10/10 The service was also super great, super fast and I can tell they take great pride in their work. Truly one of the reasons why they withstood the test of time!

Atmosphere: 10/10 The atmosphere was very antique and very old school pizza parlor-like! They also honor their troops and those who fight for our freedom so I have a deep respect for that. I love atmosphere of this place and definitely recommend a visit!

They also deliver on DoorDash which is a HUGE plus! Just in case you can’t make it in person, you can definitely...

My family and I love pizza very much. Whenever you find the right pizza spot you usually stick to it but there is something special about stepping out and experiencing different pizzas. We stepped out and found some good pizza but one of the things about pizza is not just the food. It's the experience. The food was good but the atmosphere was horrible. The gentleman running the cashier immediately made us feel like he did not want to be there nor did he want us there. To make matters even worse the way he was acting infected everyone including the other customers. It seemed like there was a very dark cloud in this place. Even if the food is good it's a very uncomfortable atmosphere Cherry I hope this review will help turn things around. This place has the potential to be much greater but it means life and joy. With that being said give their...

I would've never found this place if my friend didn't take me here.... and I'm glad he did!🤗 This has got to be the best pizza I've had in such a long time!!! New York site pizza to perfection! Thin yet crisp, and amazing flavors with oregano spices. The pepperoni they use is amazing! I was really impressed. Steve, the owner is such a great guy, very friendly. They've been in business for 23+ years, so I recall. His family started the business from New Jersey. I highly recommend this place ! You're not going to find a pizza that tastes just as awesome as this place. I've been searching for a place here in San Antonio that has this exact taste as the pizzas I’ve had back home , and it's here! Yummmmm!!!!😋😋😋😋. It also has a very chill, welcoming vibe and a 50's diner feel. I'll surely be coming around and bringing my friends here! Thank you Steve!
