Georgia's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in San Antonio

Came here today since I got invited by a co-worker around lunch time. It was super busy but staff seats you quick and are very friendly. Not a long wait for the food. He told me about the restaurant and the fideo loco! Super close to my work. He got the fideo loco which is what they are famous for. I didn’t try it but he said it was amazing. The fideo loco is on the daily special every day. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. I got the small Mexican plate (1 cheese enchilada and 1 crispy taco) with rice and beans. Everything was very flavorful. The rice was yummy. The flour tortillas were homemade and fluffy. The enchilada sauce was super good. I also got a barbacoa taco on the side. I love barbacoa so much and make it myself so I’m super picky when it comes to barbacoa. It’s was really greasy but the taste was delicious. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars because of the barbacoa being greasy but taste wise it was yummy. I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant. I spent about $25!...

Only one person taking orders and bringing food out (for the whole restaurant, just one person). Long wait for the one waiter to take your order and longer for drinks to come out (never got my drink had to ask the the refill guy for my drink). Long wait for food to come out. Once you get your food good luck seeing or ask your server for anything. Never got my tortillas and even able to get the attention of our server some out. Service takes way to long. If your in a rush or have a 30 min lunch go some where else. In saying all that. The was great and freshly made. I'm guessing that why it took so long to come. Bad service great food. No chips and salsa you have to pay for that. At least give me chips and salsa for have waiting so...

I do love a lot of restaurants, because I just love to eat. However if you're like me, you're always on the lookout for those small hole in the wall places that serve the best flavors, Georgia's is number one on my ever evolving list. And it's been at that spot for over two years. The menu isn't difficult, long or crazy to read. However, once you've experienced the flavor of their plates and eaten their custom tacos that aren't served anywhere else; you spend some time with that menu wondering if you should just order it all. Then of course you know you couldn't possibly eat that much, so you start narrowing it down to what craving you have been having lately. I love you Georgia's.
