We got there early enough to have no problem getting seated. The guy who sat us seemed rushed and didn't seem to have "customer service" skills. Didn't seem to want to communicate well.
After being seated for a few min, another guy asked what we wanted to drink, got us the drinks and then asked for our order, we wernt sure what to get, so we asked for a suggestion, and he mentioned the meal for 2. Which was like $44.99 (or something like that) you get 3 appetizers, 3 kabobs. I always thought kabobs came on squewers but this came on a plate with veggies and a side of rice. The portions of the appetizers ( Tajiki (spelling?) sauce, humas, and cucumber type of salad were a pretty good size, but the main plate for "2" seemed to be more for 1 person.
The flavors were good! The bread was really good! And our server was great at getting us more!
They did start to get super busy, and it looked like they only had 3 servers but a full house of guests, and that is understandable, so we were patient. But it was a little weird how most of the servers didn't really have that customer interaction/ friendliness, and it felt like It was all business no customer service... example, come in, sit down, eat, leave lol. No time to sit and enjoy lol.
After our meal we flagged down our server to place an order for baklava, but he got called over by the larger group, so we waited patiently. So another server basically came and asked if we want our check lol. So we told him we placed an order for 2 baklava and he grabbed it, and handed us our check and 2 "togo" baklava (even though we really wanted to eat it there and enjoy our "date night". it was a little weird... It felt like he obviously wanted us to pay and take out the baklava and leave.
Overall, food and flavor were good! But I think we will order individual meals and try other dishes next time. Everything being brought out to the other tables looked really good! So I'm definitely interested in coming back to try more things!
It's definitely a busy place, so get there early, and I guess don't take their service personal. I've noticed it first hand,, and read it in many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been cooking daily for my family and myself for years and have become versatile and quite good in the kitchen and this is one of the only restaurants I've been to in a very long time that I left knowing there is no way I could have made dishes of a Mediterranean flare on nearly the same level at home. Everything was outstanding! The babaganoush was the best my family has ever had - even during our time in the middle east - the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the Turkish coffee and baklava were perfect. Even the dipping oil for the tasty (and generous) house bread was uniquely delicious. I am confident I could not replicate any of these dishes at home, yet they all shared that comforting homey touch that felt like they were the culmination of recipes passed down through generations - a welcomed contrast to the plain and predictable chains that all blend together with nothing special to differentiate them. I left feeling warm and satisfied and am very much looking forward to my next visit!
A quick note on the place itself: The staff was kindly and courteous, the tables, floors, and bathrooms were clean, the ambience was family-friendly and the entirety of the place felt spacious and lovely without needless pretentiousness. There was also plenty of parking, and I noticed a few people picking up to-go orders. As far as prices are concerned, they were more than reasonable - especially considering how delicious the food is!
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, but especially to those who, like me, are competent home cooks in search of that illusive dining experience that leaves them feeling even more satisfied than they could be by their own personally prepared food!!
Suggestion: Please put one Jerusalem Grill on every corner in all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is good. However, the customer service is poor. I called to place a pickup order and the phone was answered and possibly placed down while they were busy because I could hear all the restaurant noiseā¦and kept saying hello but no one was talking on the other end of the line. I tried to call back for 1 hour and 19 mins with a busy signal. I would never be so persistent however my husband really wanted a gyro sandwich and itās Fatherās Day. So, I am willing to go the extra mile to achieve it. After this long busy signal period, the worker answered. I asked for a pickup order and he was very rude and rushing me on the phone. I asked about the Jerusalem salad, and he told me it would be faster for me to come into the restaurant and place my order because it takes ā2-3 minutes to make itā. I said ok and I drove to the restaurant. I went in and asked about the Jerusalem salad and once again the worker whom I believe answered the phone was very busy and didnāt seem to want to answer my questions. I ordered two gyro sandwiches with Jerusalem salad and Greek salad as sides along with a naan with a side of hummus. The price for this was $42. I was a little surprised. Anyhow, I definitely waited longer than ā2-3 minutesā for the to go order. The wait time was 21 mins. That is fine, but best to not tell people the wait will be 2-3 mins. I looked around the restaurant and it was steady but not what I would call overwhelming. This is my personal opinion. I do not plan to return here because I was dissatisfied with the experience. I will be going to...
