Upon entry to the restaurant I was greeted by a very friendly hostess named Francesca who was very polite and full of energy but seemed a little confused at first as she advised me that she spelled my name wrong on my reservation. She was extremely sweet and professional as she took me to my seat and advised me of my waiter’s name. She even got the door for me as I left the restaurant asked me to come back and maintained the same energy. There was no wait time, and the restaurant was busy. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the hostess
I sat at the bar and was greeted by a server named Aaron. I asked Aaron what he recommended to which he said the “Eggs benny” were the best item on the menu. I ordered the Eggs Benny and an item called Cheesy Thang. The Cheesy Thang was a cheese dip with bacon jam in a cast iron skillet with a side of toast. The bacon jam and cheese did not Emulsify so it was basically a cheese dish with bacon grease on top. The Eggs Benny are a poached egg on top of Pulled pork belly sitting on grilled sourdough bread. The Eggs were OVER done. Poached eggs are supposed to have a runny yolk and the eggs were so cooked they were basically scrambled as the yolk on both eggs were completely solidified. The pulled pork seemed old basically a big pile of mush on top of sourdough. The hollandaise sauce was well put together as there were no splits in the sauce. When I pointed out the mistakes to Aaron, he would defend his chef’s work and his only solution was to refire the order. Aaron either does not know how the items are supposed to be or he is defensive. You can Poach eggs before service, leave them in cold water and put them in hot water for 30 seconds to reheat them. The as for the bacon jam, drain some of the bacon fat and melt the cheese by making a cheese sauce. A spoon should not be necessary to scoop up the cheese when you have bread on the side. I Then asked for Pecan Pie French Toast. The French Toast was soggy, this usually occurs when you use fresh bread or oversaturate the bread in the egg mixture. I asked Aaron if the bread they use in the back was fresh to which Aaron confirmed the bread was made that day. For better French Toast use day old stale bread. I would recommend a day-old Chocolate Babka Bread. 3 out of 5 stars for Aaron as he does not really know much about the products he is selling. A 2 out of 5 for the food as all 3 items were all on the same amateur level culinary wise. I think the menu items are great ideas on paper but simple fall short when executed
The Bartender’s name was Bret. Bret was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He advised he had been a bartender for 12 years. Unfortunately, I was not able to drink this day but watching Bret work and just by talking to him the man seems to know his craft very well. 5 out of 5 for Bret on his knowledge and customer engagement alone.
Overall, Fully Belly Café+ Bar is a nice restaurant atmosphere wise however food wise they seem to have a lot of innovative ideas but fall short. I do not know If their menu was made by a more experienced Chef who left the restaurant to a less experienced chef, or I caught the Chef on a bad day either way the food that was sent to my table should have never made it out of that kitchen. If I found 1 thing wrong, I can overlook that but when all 3 items were all on the same level, I can make those 2 assumptions.

Read moreUpdated review: Came again for the first time in a bit, excited to get the hash yet again. As we were about to order, our waitress told us they were out of “benedicts”, including the hash (I assume that means out of hollandaise since they’re not the same but share that ingredient). Had we not already ordered drinks, I probably would’ve left, and in hindsight I wish I had. I settled for ordering a patty melt and my sister ordered the fish and chips. Our drinks and food took quite some time, and when our food finally came out, I was handed poutine, not a patty melt. Considering how long we had already waited, AND that the party of two beside us that ordered after us yet had their food delivered well before ours (one of their dishes even being the exact same as “mine” aka poutine), I didn’t care to wait even longer. The poutine was alright, considering I didn’t ask for it, but the fish and chips were a huge disappointment. Most dishes I’ve tried here had been pretty flavorful, but the fish did not have any flavor AT ALL. Not even salt! The batter was nice and crunchy, but that’s really the only positive about it. I can’t emphasize enough that there was nothing to taste besides plain fish, it was shockingly bland. We ultimately overpaid for dishes we maybe got halfway through. I do not recommend the fish and chips, frankly I don’t understand why it’s even offered.
It’s hard to believe it was even the same restaurant because the experiences were such a night and day difference. This trip was super disappointing, and if it weren’t for the hash being so good before, I’d be leaving 1 star.
Original review: Had it for the first time on a Monday and was back again by Saturday! I ordered the same thing and it was even better the second time.
First time we went, our waitress was great. She gave a rundown of all the top dishes/drinks and made recommendations on what was a must try. I had the chorizo hash (10/10), my mom had the baked egg and toast (10/10), my dad had the Dino egg (didn’t try, looked fine but not my thing) and we also got a brown sugar cinnamon roll. We had the chai latte and the white chocolate horchata latte (10/10). I was hesitant about the chorizo since it’s usually a meat so greasy the whole plate is orange, but that was not at all an issue here. I took the cinnamon roll home bc it was way too much for us to eat, but it doesn’t quite hold up the same so either save room or power through if you get one.
On the second occasion I ordered the same dish (12/10) and my friend had the Benedict (10/10). The white choco horchata was not as sweet/yummy the second time, but it was still very good. I’m drooling as I type this now.
This will definitely be my new go-to spot for breakfast food. As others have said, it’s what the chains wish they were....
Read moreYesterday, my friends and I tried out an amazing brunch spot! 🤤 I had been there once before, but since I hadn’t made a reservation, they told us there would be a two-hour wait. So this time, we were smarter and reserved ahead of time 🤣 Highly recommend making a reservation if you’re planning to go!
The food was so good that it felt like you couldn’t go wrong with any order. After seeing what people posted online, everything looked so good we wanted to try it all! Here’s what we ended up choosing 😋
🌟 Wagyu Meatloaf This dish was a slice of bread topped with mashed potatoes, wagyu beef, and another slice of bread, with crispy onion ring bits on top 🧅 It was super hearty! The meat was tightly packed and rich in flavor, and the mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly. If I wasn’t sharing, this dish alone would probably last me two meals 😅
🌟 Avocado Toasty Out of the four dishes we ordered, this one was on the simpler side but still fresh and light, with a very refreshing flavor. The standout here was the potato chunks served with tomato ketchup—surprisingly good! 😍 The potatoes were crispy, just like fries. The toast itself was light and refreshing 😊
🌟 Pink Hippo Eggs I spotted this one online because it looked so pretty in photos. When I asked the server about it, she said it was unavailable but they had an upgraded version 😆 So we gave it a try, and it was delicious! It had gooey cheese, eggs, and bacon 🥓, served with toasted bread for dipping. So good! 😋
🌟 Pecan Pie French Toast We ordered this as our dessert. For anyone who’s not a fan of cinnamon, this is perfect—no cinnamon flavor at all! The candied pecans on top were crispy and sweet. Even though we were already full, we couldn’t resist having a big piece 😆 This is a must-try dessert!
Overall, everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Plus, we got to swing by Trader Joe’s next door for a little shopping...
