La Popular Bakery — Restaurant in San Antonio

My experience here was extremely disappointing. I had to ring the service bell twice—after the first ring, no one came, and even after the second ring, I still waited a long time. There was complete silence from the back until a lady suddenly appeared.

As I started to give my order, she seemed unable to hear or understand me, likely because of the loud fans running in the lobby. She turned them off so I could repeat myself, but her expression the entire time looked irritated, as if she didn’t want to be there. Between each item I mentioned, she responded with a sarcastic, high-pitched “mhm,” which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. I ended up cutting my order short, paid, and left—only to get to my car and realize I hadn’t even received what I ordered.

This was especially frustrating because I live far from any Mexican bakery, and this is the closest one to me. My spouse and I agreed it was the worst service...

Ok I wanted to refrain from writing a review but I have no choice…you come to this bakery they have no price on their items. I bought 10 pieces of sweet bread which I was told it was $17 then 10 small cookies some were 3/$1 and was given a total of $26 which was a theft. I asked the attendant how did she know it was $26. I made her go over all items and she brought it down to $22 which was still a theft. I am reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau. This is not right! I do not mind paying for a product or service I buy but do not appreciate being taken advantage of. They need to post their prices and stop...

Went to this bakery Saturday night, got dry, disgusting OLD goods, wasn't given a receipt. When we went back Sunday morning, the girl working was rude, unhelpful and wouldn't do anything to make up for the terrible items we received, because we didnt have a receipt as we were never given one. Instead we were told "sorry that's not my fault, I didn't work last night." This is how you conduct business? We've never had an issue with these bakeries until now. Tried calling their "complaint line" only to be met by "sorry this call cannot be completed as dialed." Disappointed. So....
