I wish they had 3.5 starts because that's exactly the rating for this particular restaurant Pros: The service was OUTSTANDING...once we were seated. Coming into the door, the greeting was slow in coming and when the lady finally walked over to us (she watched us come in the door but didn't come over right away) she seemed surly, bored, or maybe both. The young man that seated us seemed distracted although there was hardly anyone other customers there. The young lady that waited on us (Veronica??) was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, fun, and careful. What a delight! The food was solid. Really impressed with the appetizers and sides. Queso with brisket had a good amount of brisket--they didn't skimp. Firecracker chicken wraps were a pleasant surprise. I had asparagus as a side and they were perfectly cooked--I mean PERFECTLY; a tad crisp at the initial bite but soft immediately after. Rarely seen them cooked so well outside of "high end" steakhouses. Chicken was tender and juicy and both my ribeye and my wife's New York strip steak were medium rare, as requested. Cons: It was kind of dirty. Menus had cheese droppings dried on them and partway through the meal, the kids noticed ants and spiders(!) running along the top of the backrest on our booth.

This place had a short wait time and an incredibly wonderful experience. The weight stuff was pleasant accurate and a joy. Food came out in a timely manner and the presentation was perfect. The sticks were cooked exactly how we asked and the sides were all correct. I believe your order being correct the first time when you get food is important and the experience of dining in. This place really nailed it when it came to atmosphere and food preparation. We were there for dinner and were a table of five. The salad's caramel within 5 minutes of us ordering them. The bread was served first and it was perfectly moist and soft. I highly recommend this restaurant chain to anyone that likes steaks or chicken. And I very highly recommend it to anyone who has not tried it at all. I can't say enough good things about this place. The only negative thing that I can say about this experience was that the appetizer plates were dirty. I don't know if there were carelessly left on our table from someone else and the wait staff served them to us accidentally, or they were brought to us intentionally but they were dirty.

Went here for dinner with my wife. Started with the Texas Tonion, which was kind of a disappointment. Although the flavor was good, my wife did not appreciate the appetizer being drizzled with a white sauce which had ZERO flavor. Also the waitress advised us that the fried pickles and the chicken pieces were on the happy-hour menu, however my wife asked why the happy-hour price was the same as their standard price. To which the waitress had no idea. Moving on, I ordered the outlaw rib eye which came with a salad and a side. I chose the strawberry pecan salad and the creamed spinach. The salad fruit tasted out of season which really ruined the other flavors. The steak and creamed spinach above par, and the only reason I gave the 4 stars. My wife got the filet with Asparagus and a caesar salad. The salad was mediocre and the asparagus was drastically over cooked. The filet was just ok. I would note I expect a steakhouse to have house made croutons for their salads but they dod not.

If your craving a good steak come here! I got the Longhorn MR (2 others did as well), and our 4th member got The Outlaw MR.

I tried the Outlaw to see the difference and it was just a little more tender than the porter Longhorn, but the Longhorn was thicker and in my opinion had better flavor (there was some slight charring from the grill on the Outlaw I didn't care for, but the 4th member thought it had better flavor than mine so). To be honest both steaks were excellent and I'd order either one next time.

I love that they use dark green lettuce for their salads regardless of what type you get (not the nasty iceberg kind). One member got the stawberry salad and it looked amazing! She said it was really good. I got ceasar which was delicious.

Outside (front), the waiting area, restaurant and bathrooms were very clean, which says a lot about a place your about to eat at in my book.

Everything was amazing, till it came to our lemon of a server. The place wasn't too busy saw plenty of people, but also plenty of empty tables so it wasn't prime dinner rush time (just after), yet our waiter hardly checked in on us. Took him about 30 min to get starter drinks & our order. We got tired of hoping he'd come by for drink refills & ended up asking another waitress if she could get us more drinks which she said yes & didn't. 10 min later she just sent us our server, then we had to repeat and wait again to him. I've waitressed myself and understand how hectic it can be when the place is packed, but the place wasn't packed, plenty of servers, there really wasn't any excuse. After we were done eating & asked him for a to go box and our checks it took him about ONE HOUR to bring them. He was supposed to pick up our checks at the table but we got tired of waiting & went up front. Several times throughout dinner/waiting on check I felt the need to have to get up & go find where our waiter went. Terrible service...

I don't like that servers don't help out other servers tables for small things cause in the end it only punishes the customer. The manager really should teach them to help eachother out with small stuff, cause sometimes the small stuff could ruin the whole experience. Again everything was excellent except the service & not just our waiter. Sometimes you just get a lemon of a waiter, in this case we got two. Other than that, I'd go back again.

Man that steak hit my meat craving like a charm, melted in my mouth! Mmm... One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this place, just don't expect good service unless you luck out & get a...

6-8-22 - My husband and I, along with my parents were at this Longhorn Steakhouse today to celebrate my parents 65th anniversary today, and our 38th anniversary, which is tomorrow. We have eaten at several Longhorn's in the San Antonio area and have always had a great experience. Today we arrived around 3:45 pm. We were pleasantly surprised to see how busy it was! We were seated fairly quickly, though we did notice that the hostess walked around the whole restaurant looking to see what was available. She did seat us and gave us menus. After about 15 minutes with no one coming to our table, my mom waved someone down and asked if our server was coming. Isaiah was the young man who came to our table and said that our server was on the way, but that since we had been waiting awhile, he would take care of us, even though he was handling a different section. He did say that they were short handed and that the managers were in the kitchen doing the cooking! Bless their hearts. He took our drink orders, and our appetizer order and since we had already had the menus for some time, and knew what we wanted, he took our dinner order, too! :-) He brought our drinks and bread and butter and our salads, then realized we didn't have our utensils yet. Because they were so busy and had a lunch rush, he had to roll the silverware himself! He brought that as quickly as he could. He was so pleasant, friendly and helpful the whole time, and apologized for the wait several times throughout our meal! He was so kind and an awesome waiter. Later, I asked what his name was (he didn't tell us at first because he wasn't even supposed to be our waiter)! Toward the end of the meal, I asked him how long he had worked there, and he said 2 weeks! I know this is probably terribly long for a review, but we just wanted to give praise to Isaiah for stepping up to wait on us when we were not in his section, for being so nice and professional and taking care of us so well! There was a young lady who helped bring our main dishes and she was also kind enough to bring ketchup to us as well. Everyone was so nice. So praise goes to the managers who cooked our food, too, which was delicious! My parents both had the Flo's Filet, which was wonderful, I had the chopped steak with mushrooms and onions (yummy), and my husband had the Nolan Ryan Chicken fried steak. It was very good as well! So, just want to say thank you for a great experience and a special thanks to Isaiah who really went above and beyond to take care of us. Thank you so much! Well...

We called at 9:43 to make sure that the restaurant could accommodate our large party of five adults and seven children and how long the wait would be. With only a little over an hour before closing we understood that it might be difficult. The manager assured us that we could be taken care of and would have a table ready for us upon our arrival and there would be no wait. It took us approximately six minutes to get there. We were celebrating my grandson’s eighth birthday and had a busy day. When we arrived they had forgotten to prepare a table. We weren’t upset but had to wait about twenty minutes for a table. The waitress made mistakes with three of the drink orders but corrected them. She only brought two loaves of bread for our table of twelve. We didn’t order anything complicated. Seven kids meals, a couple of salads, and three other meals. At 11:05 we had not even received our salads. We finally received our meals a short time later but some of the sides were wrong and one of the kids meals was missing all together. My granddaughter had to eat what others shared with her from their plates. When everyone had almost finished eating, they brought her a plate. It was not what she ordered. My grandson ordered his steak cooked medium and it was barely medium rare. It had so much pepper on it he was unable to eat it. This is a child that commonly eats hot sauce on his food. He is not a picky eater. He also shared with his family members. Over all the experience was extremely disappointing. Especially since it was to be a birthday celebration. We would have understood if we were told that they couldn’t accommodate our large party at that hour. We had planned on ordering the sweet bites desserts for all of the kids and a molten cake for the birthday child. They didn’t accommodate the sweet bites but at least provided one molten cake for the birthday child. Six other children received no dessert. The waitress was very sweet and did her best with the lack of cooperation she got from the kitchen. Although it would have been nice if she had let us know there was a problem before almost an hour had passed. The manager never bothered to approach us about the issues we had that night. We visit San Antonio often and will never frequent this...
