Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in San Antonio

I decided on a baseball themed party for my son specifically because they had a baseball with flames cookie cake. I tried calling the day I ordered and the day of pickup to confirm my order. No one answered and the "mailbox was not accepting messages". My husband picked up the cake the day of the party and informed me we received a basketball cake, despite the receipt clearly indicating it was a baseball cake. My son was disappointed but we made the best of it. I understand mistakes happen but am frustrated that I was unable to verbally confirm my order... this could have been avoided! I was ultimately refunded for the cake but expressed my frustration to the manager about the non working phone. She apologized and mentioned the owner knows that the phone isn't connected! I don't know how he expects to run a successful business without a working phone. I mentioned he should probably remove the phone number from the website if it's not going to work. An employee told me they haven't received their paychecks in a timely manner either. I told her she should file a complaint against him and that I would also. After a bit of confusion as to where this location was we finally found it! It is located inside with the American Cookie Company so don't drive away thinking Marble Slab has moved, like we almost did. (See pic)

Boy are we happy that we took the time to figure it out! The treats were divine! I have a family of five and everyone ordered something different. Not one person had a complaint about what they got. Now, if you have a somewhat bigger family, you know the fight is real with this...there is ALWAYS a kid who regrets getting what they ordered; either they like someone else's better or because they just didn't like what they ordered. NOT this time! We all sampled each others treats and everyone remained happy with their choices!

Again...divine! They welcomed us with big smiles and a sense that they were there to make us happy. Any changes requested (always have to be a few) were met with another smile, a "no worries" and a quick adjustment to them order.

It was refreshing to go somewhere that you don't feel rushed and the staff actually seem happy that you are there. We will certainly be going...

At first glance it looks like a normal business that serves an assortment of confections, but once you enter the doors you’re instantly teleported to a blinding white interior that makes you feel like you’re about to be rushed to an operating table. The flavor of the ice cream could vary depending on how sweet the name sounds, a familiar household flavor such as chocolate should be delicious packed with cocoa flavor and sweetness, instead my eager tastebuds were greeted with disappointment, flavorless icy scoops is what i was served. Equivalent to the runny chocolate ice cream served at chinese buffets I expected better. Not many toppings to choose from, my marshmallows were stained like the teeth of a sugar loving toddler, and my twix was hard and stale.
