Rude, poorly supplied and Inexperienced staff. I deliver food for customers and in past experiences, the call in orders were unsatisfying as they would run out of items even though they had been called in advance. If a customer places an order, wouldn't they expect to receive what was ordered? In a more recent experience, I arrive at the restaurant to pick up a call in. The staff says they never received an order and had tried to call the customer but never got an answer. I later find out the customer was never contacted. Rather than try to remedy the situation by putting the order in, (according the app, the order was already paid for) the young lady (Jaelyn) at the counter just shrugged her shoulders saying I should contact customer service. While I'm waiting to hear back from CS and communicating with the customer about the ordeal, she sees who I believe to be her family and rushes past me to speak to them, bumping into me and doesn't bother with an 'excuse me' or apology. 45 minutes have passed and the order was finally put together, well past the required delivery time. I like HEB, as it has been my favorite grocery store, but I am not impressed with the staff's performance in handling this situation and the lack of professionalism on their part. In my opinion, there needs to be a refresher course on customer service, disciplinary action, and how to provide a solution in the event these...
Read moreWell where do I begin wanting ribs and so I consider Texas true to have the best ribs. About order sit down and to come to find out they have no ribs. Nada Look I'll say it again. The service at HEB including the restaurant here his subpar. I don't know what it is. I've tried to love HEB and I did in the past, but recently I have become disenfranchised. It seems that they are resting on the fact that they've grown to a huge supermarket chain in Texas and now everything that I loved about them no longer exist. The service is awful. So after I ordered and sat down the young lady called me up there and told me that they had had a catastrophic event and they had no ribs and that was it and then she said you want your money back or do you want something else. I settled on some brisket which is not the reason for what I came to this restaurant for and there you go. The sides I'd asked for were wrong. I asked for creamed corn. I got collard greens took them back up there and the kid gladly took them from me and brought me out some creamed corn. Not one word of apology. I came for ribs and they had none. I gave three stars based on the fact that their ribs are that good even though I had none the brisket's okay, the cream corn was okay. So for that the three stars, service one...
Read moreTaste is obviously subjective, but the pork ribs are the best I've had in SA/TX so far. That includes Terry blacks in Austin, Blacks BBQ in New Braunfels, and the county line in SA. Not to mention several others. The ribs are VERY tasty. They have a rich, smokey but slightly hinting sweet taste to them. They are tender and easy to eat. They don't even need any sauce they are so good.
Which is a good thing because their sauce is truly atrocious. It is by far the nastiest crap I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. I'm not even kidding. It comes in this stupid tiny little sauce container that's about the size of a small fast food cup lid and about 1/2 inch deep. Both sauces taste exactly the same. NASTY they desperately need to make a be sauce. I truly hope someone from their company read this. I know I'm not the only one, please, for the love of God, make a better sauce!
Anyway. Comes with 2 slices of basic cheap white bread and some pickles and onions which are good. I also had their potatoe salad, which was decent, nothing to write home about. I get the ribs here often. SOOOO GOOOOD.
It's a drive-through or walk-in, which I was surprised about. To my second surprise , it is located inside of an HEB even more weird. But hey, when is...
