This McDonald's is owned by the same people who own the McDonald's on Bandera, and my husband and I used to frequent, ( meaning every day), the location on Culebra Rd right after 36th st; if you were going towards Ingram. Every morning we ate breakfast so often the employees knew our order as we were walking up to the register! The staff were always friendly, happy morning people which is definitely a bonus for you; statistics can provide a correlation between the way being treated by an employee can have a positive or negative effect on the way you treat others throughout your day; even your productivity at the work place. The prices, the overall value of your purchase, as well as the atmosphere, and the positive attitude of the staff were all contributing factors as to why we started our day with breakfast at McDonald's. For months, like clockwork, my husband and I chose a table preferably close to the TV for a bit of the morning news. Tragically a storm hit unexpectedly so we had no umbrellas, or even jackets. Luckily as we were getting off the bus and began running across the street a car rolled their windows down, drove alongside us and handed us two sleeping bags. Thanking the couple and the Lord, we covered ourselves as best as possible and walked inside. Smelling the coffee, I got the table while he ordered our usual. While I waited for my other half to sit down beside me, I noticed a woman behind the counter starring at me like I was trash. I was wet from the flash floods, wearing an equally soaked sleeping bag for a jacket, knowing what she must be thinking about the two of us. Shivering and embarrassed all I could do was hang my head down so some strands of hair covered my face. My husband sat down across sensing the tears warming my cheeks as they rolled down my face. I will forever remember the look on that woman's face as if we were bags of dirty garbage. Seeing our order on the monitor my husband got our tray and it was packaged as a, " to-go" order. We were hoping the weather would subside while we ate so we could dry off and discuss our plans for the day. I love your caramel frappe with extra caramel and a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle! I noticed my husband walking to our table and the Manager I mentioned earlier was right before following you to our table. As you sat down she informed us that they, I assume she was speaking on behalf of McDonald's as a whole, wouldn't tolerate customers coming in her restaurant wet with only sleeping bags for protection from the rain. She informed us of the 30 minute limit at the establishment. Then as walking away as if we were the plague, she turned around and said not to return again, as from that day forward we were no longer allowed to be on the property. ( Unfortunately I have no name for the heartless woman.. although we discovered that she oversaw the Culebra location as well as the one one on Bandera Rd. So for any person reading this, unless you want to be publicly humiliated, stay away from either of those McDonald's restaurant's. Thank you. Jayme Hodge and...
Read moreI was ABOUT to leave a one star because the customer service ar the drive through was a TRIP, to say the least. But I wanted to make sure I wasn't just hangry and I wanted to make sure to leave a review about the food quality, cause that's the whole reason I came. The food was fresh, some of the freshest I've had in a long time. Quality of the food was not an issue. It was great.
The ISSUE that I do have is with the customer service , we came at 11:30pm.(im leaving the time because I didn't catch names as there were no nametags.) there were two people that we saw at the window, one was a red haired woman who was courteous. The other woman however who was taking the drive through orders was very rude, which is the whole reason I'm leaving this review. When we first pulled in to the drive through we stated that we had two mobile orders. We carpool to our nightshift job and like to get our orders before midnight. The voice that came on the drivethrough intercom was RUDE,curt, and straight up sounded like they hated their life or atleast hated their job. Pure Attitude throughout the entirety of our interactions. Just keep that in mind.
We were told we weren't allowed to do that and that they only accept one order per car.... "this is a new policy " SUREEEE i believe you.
I have never heard this in my life ,we do this all the time, before work. we are two grown seperate adults who pay for our own meals through our mobile apps. Stop the b.s.
So when we asked what are we supposed to do then since we have two orders. She said "Just drive around after you get your first order" 🙄 Since I'm the one in the passenger I told him to go ahead and get his order first I'll wait for my order. So while we're waiting, we get to hear her taking every drive in order that pulled up and she was rude to every single one that drove up to take their order. Completely unprofessional, out there sprinkling bad energy to every person that pull up to grab some mcdonalds. Like comeon now that ain't right. Ain't got no business spreading that type of energy to every person that pulls up to take an order. Disrespectful. Just out there spreading unpleasantness. All I'm saying is, to the woman who was working the drive though , with all due respect and no intended rudeness , TUNE yourself, check yourself and your energy, before spreading it to every person that pulls up to take an order ,cause that ain't right ,expecially ain't professional. If you're having a bad day, it ain't everybody's fault for you to be treating everybody that way. A different approach to how you handle stress needs to be tooken cause this ain't it.
The food was fresh and it was great. Just gotta work on that customer service. All love...
Read moreI would avoid this place. I went there one night to pick up an order. It was around 1 am. I was in the car line, and an employee at the first window called out to me, asked me to back up. I looked in my rearview mirror, and back dash cam, I didn't feel I had room, with a car behind me. So I asked the employee: 'why, then what for,' because I didn't understand. The employee then gave me an attitude, and said then I'll give them your license plate number then. Again I didn't understand. A little later, the car in front of me had an exchange with their McDonald's window. The car threw a drink at the McDonald's window. The car then drove off, so I pulled up, and apparently the employee who called out to me was the manager. He came to the window yelling at me: that's why (he told me to back up.) I forget what else he said, but he went off, then later saying I had enough room to back up, etc, and now he couldn't help me. I simply told him: I didn't understand.
With my not wanting to be involved with any incident, I called the police. I waited in the parking, then I explained to the police everything that happened. I noticed the manager had came out, he had the audacity to lie to the police, and say I was cursing, yelling, which never happened.
I offered the dashcam footage to the police as proof, they told me to keep it for my records, as it's not a crime to have an argument, but if possible avoid that location as they get a lot of calls there.
Fyi, I've been a manager to major corporations, fortunate 500 companies. I'm also a mathematician, a scientist. I've been a recruit to various US Intelligence agencies due to my math background. In my experience, the person's demeanor at that McDonald's location, especially if he was the manager, was unprofessional and uncalled for, so I did complain to corporate and ask for the individual to be fired. Hopefully the person will be, if not avoiding this location, and not giving them business would be best, to force them hire proper staff, or put them...
